Racingmonster: I'm definitely unclear how someone in the US can know someone in France who supposedly doesn't speak English and know that he got hacked and know how to recover his account for him. Is this your account posing as someone, because that's definitely not allowed. Please explain.
In either case because I'm confused, iTicTacHD could you just send me a Twitch PM if you still want your account deleted, sorry for the trouble. I'd rather not delete an account without being relatively certain. (Yes I'm aware this post is in English, sorry.)
CupNoodle: It happens often enough. It's not really even worth noting, as it's evident from looking at the queue.
Gy009: I responded earlier. Copying and pasting your post 5 days later without reading the posts in between isn't exactly helping.
BauernEintopf: Please contact the game's moderators per the first post.
Tozino: Subcategory can be thought of as a "variable" that causes a sublevel in the page display. The way your page is set up right now, there is no "region" variable to separate on because PAL is just part of different categories. (Also andypanther's noted restriction applies.) It may be better if you show us exactly what you want and we move it for you, because it is tricky in this case. The screenshot isn't completely clear how it should look.
andypanther: It may be worth noting that for some games people don't seem to care about differences between GCN/Xbox/PS2/etc. That being said, it would probably indeed be useful if the "system variable" was able to function both as a regular variable and as a populator for the list of games by console. It is not ideal, for sure.
SnipinG117: If you could post exactly how you want things moved, we can likely help after some clarification.
xHaviiHx: Forums need some general quality of life improvements like this at some point, as well as some reorganizing. I'm not clear on the status of the previous oddities with topics being marked "New" either. Maybe they were fixed?
ROMaster2: I think being unable to display 3:40.000 would be a shortcoming. 3:40 generally implies "between 3:40.000 and 3:40.999. Maybe your idea/point was that both of those ideas should be allowed within the same board?
WeForgot: My thoughts on a comments section have always been that it would need to have sufficient controls to prevent user harassment. To me this would include things like no comments on runs by non-users, and allowing users the ability to remove comments on their own runs. With these tasks attached to it, it's a more complex task than just simply adding the comment box.
Searching like this may be something we can start to accommodate with the planned "game tags" update.
My proposed idea to solve this has been to implement the ability for multiple arbitrarily named full-game and individual level type units per game. (Possibly other types in the future as well.) I think this is along the same lines of what you're asking. It requires a pretty major refactor of that section of the code in order to do it in a relatively future proof manner.
Jesse_Porter: Added to Golden Axe due to inactivity.
LightOfEon/Sotherogue: New Super Mario Bros.: Both users are active with the site and run the game. New Super Mario Bros. Wii: This was turned to the current moderators over based on community consensus.
These next two were pretty heavy discretion on my part, but I think it will help solve the issue showing up on the forums. From my perspective, adding someone just learning the game (with a few ILs and/or no mentioned videos) doesn't have the highest chance of producing the best outcome.
New Super Mario Bros. U: I added dagpetter1 because he has a competitive run and mentioned interest on that forum. New Super Luigi U: I added Mchan388 because he had a run in a requested category, posted on the forum, and has numerous runs on the site.
Spaces aren't allowed. I edited that into the first post. Let us know if you want something similar.
The time is inherent to the video. If there's not an autosplitter for the game, having the timer on the screen is completely superficial and not meaningful.
A few games have chosen to implement "time without loads" which may require an autosplitter in that specific case.
Gy009: The first post in this thread requests ~3 weeks of inactivity by a user. This may be a unique case because the user has a total of 1 run on the site and the only run in that game, but he was on a week ago, so let's give it some time.
Sotherogue: Added.
Sopha: I super modded the user. He's quite active with the site, so please discuss it with him first.
Mr_Shasta: I think the super mods added you maybe?
SandbagX: I don't see this game, if it's a new game you should use the game request form here: http://www.speedrun.com/requestgame
If you tell us which runs and/or which games we can do it here as well. It's kind of a pain to dig up all runs by a non-user from the database, so listing them would make it easier for us.
Contacting individual game moderators is fine too, but they may be unaware that the way to attach it to your profile is to edit and save, so you might wanna let them know.
I think the consensus was that method A was preferable to most people. I'm not opposed to an option for B, but the ranking code is already quite convoluted as it is.
This is a good idea. Guides/Resources could probably use a small overhaul in general at some point.
We have some relatively large changes being made to the codebase right now (mobile support, game/series structure changes), so I'm unsure if we should put more on our plates right now.
Huh, I tried all sorts of stuff to get in there, but apparently I didn't mess with the elevator enough.
If you find a way to die and keep 1 or more health, the game plays a victory ending. I tried this for like 4-8 hours a while back with no success. (Get soda on same frame as jumping out a window, get shot and die into soda, etc.)
If you wanna rearrange the board/runs go ahead, or I can do it in a day or two.
May make sense to use subcategories: Any%, Best Ending Beginner, Advanced Zips, No Zips
TsukiBaka: It looks like this was sorted out.
MarioManTAW: I'll add you to add some categories and rules, because it seems sensible in this case.
LeHulk: Added since the user is inactive and the board has no runs.
There was a preliminary list of users by country like this on a page at one point. I'm not sure why that wasn't fully implemented, but it's probably something we can accommodate. The update schedule is a bit limiting right now because we're looking to update the site front-end soon, which could make it difficult to merge in other changes at the same time.
Added it. You could request a new series through the game request form as well. Remaking the page probably wouldn't do what you're thinking to solve the issue. A series is basically just a special game type that consists of other games.
