I never said it is convenient, but it is way better than having to spend 450€ to compete in a category/game. And as I said, you might not agree with it, however the poll has decided that this is what the community wants and I can't see your vote anywhere on there. To be fair, you might've not been interested in the runs at that point, so that point doesn't necessarily count much.
The DLC is just the first step, there has been talk about expanding that rule into more games as well to make those more fair between different hardware as well. Also this loadremover is still in it's early stages, I am pretty sure we will be able to have a way easier version for this in the future.
Why would you say is this pointless? Do you know how the timing works in this game? It is a bit of a hassle to set it up, that's right, but I can tell you several things about it.
1: Limitcut is a very hard category and there have been runs done already, just not with the loadremover yet. 2: ReMind as a category takes a bit to set up and probably seems pretty boring to most people which is why there aren't any runs, but we already have 4 different runners of that category, two of which used the loadremover. 3: The Loadremover makes the competition fair. If we go by RTA then everyone would have to buy a PS4Pro with SSD just to compete, which counts in at about 450€ which is ridiculous. Having a loadremover evens it out for everyone in almost every aspect. IGT can not be properly used as you don't have a timer that shows you how long it took you to do that like during a normal Any% run. 4: This requirement was community voted, people were voting for this exact requirement. Here is the link to that https://www.speedrun.com/kh3/thread/0vx70
Hope this clears it up.
You need to have Combo Master equipped for that to work.
As for any category suggestions, the first step would be to have a run of it In the KH Community we have the rule of having 3 or more runs being done of a potential category before it gets added to the boards, just so we can ensure some kind of activity on it besides the staple categories.
Besides that, in my opinion a Lv99 speedrun sounds pretty boring. It will probably be just repetitive grinding of certain Special Portals and nothing else besides the normal Any% run. Then again, maybe you're going to be able to show off a run for this and convince me (And maybe others) of running this category.
If you have a webcam you could point that one towards your splits and have that shown.
The closest thing we have to that would be OoA% or Plat% It's unlikely that 100% will be added as: A: There are no runs of it yet that could be submitted B: It's pretty losely defined and 100% categories are generally pretty weird for Final Fantasy games as they lack such a counter
- You want to skip cutscenes whenever they happen, not run out of stamina and get used to when your weapons are in range to hit the enemy Also you'll have to be able to manage 3-4 weapons at the same time for NG+
- This would be the Yurika only category
- I don't know, depends on what you want to know.
Nobody submitted runs of this on switch, all the runners are on PC, but I guess it shouldn't make a difference
You can use the autosplitter, yes, the splits during a run don't matter anyway, it's only the final time that matters. Just make sure to split for yourself at the very end if the autosplitter would do that to late, because changing the end of the run because of an autosplitter sounds weird to me personally.
We'll be using this thread to announce mod decisions. As the first post in here, both Greenday and I decided that we don't require the difficulty being shown anymore. But with that we also decided to remove auto-verification so getting your runs on the board might take a bit longer than it used to. If it is shown, verification will be quick. However if you don't show your difficulty we might decide on either rejecting the run if it is not 100% clear which difficulty has been used or taking a while on the verification process. Therefore the runs from Greenday and Fliggmode are back on the board.
What Kingdom Hearts does is actually a bit different (Maybe I'm just missunderstanding you) We have one main Category called "Any%" which branches out to the different difficulties (Beginner, Standard, Proud, Crit) and I think that woulf be a nice way to go about it as well, have it being called Any% in the header, then have a Variable for each platform as we already have, and on top of that, for PC only, add Easy mode and Normal mode as another variable.
It runs indeed faster on Pro/SSD, but the time difference is way lower than in 2FM But the difference does exist
Still pretty cool to find it yourself :D
That is something you can do to end the fight quickly, correct. The speedrun does slmething similar with using Phoenix Down while we have Bone Mail equipped. Basically, causing the death status effect instead of losing health in that battle still ends it.
So we have NG+ which allows us to choose any of the panties. How about we make some kind of New Game category, something that either only allows certain panties at certain points or just Yurika only.
No, the NOTES are still CORRECT The TUTORIAL is not 100% anymore
The notes ARE up to date, you should read what I said again :D I said the tutorial itself is outdated, you can learn everything but some movement from the tutorial and on parts where to notes say something else you should watch one of the Top 10 runs to see how it is done, preferrably one done in the last 2.5 months.
I assume you are using one of the notes on this website, right? Are you going with BTrues or RebelWatts notes? BTrues are outdated but should fit into the tutorial, but the tutorial itself is outdated. And for the video tutorial, you aren't using Bl00dys tutorial, are you?
They definetely should be added Even if there are no runs yet, we already have them for console so we should put them up for emulator as well.
It is ok to have no timer as long as your run has no cuts inbetween. If your run doesn't have a cutless/jumpless Vod it may get rejected however
