Changed: Added rule to the tutorial speedruns: "WARNING, show the game settings panel before the run! It's the only way to distinguish 0.8.2 versions between them despite having minor key differences!"
Reasons: other categories are showcasing differences in details mods can notice easily, but it's not the case for the tutorial ones sometimes
0.8.2c 2 super minor differences: on prop fly while using another prop, standing on inclined flying may incline character and slightly changes his behaviour. Now character more "tied" to the moving surface he standing on.
Now on climbing the surface, Kel does just enough height to be above the surface he's climbing. Earlier he always climbed same height (about half a meter). Which additionally changes perspective of gameplay
0.8.2c difference: now you can't shove big item from Holding inside some surface. I could do that in tutorial ARG speedrun on bathing gear to store it efficiently, but now it just being put outside entirely, which makes even tutorial% affected... Holy moly
Changed: "You should NEVER cover point, saturation and stamina amounts by overlays or recording stuff" - added to general rules.
Reasons: Points are not easy to calculate manually. To avoid points modifications on run with external tools, they should be visible to the mods.
Congratz on sub 17! I'm so sorry i take that long to land a hand on runs
Mod | unable to see whether world was newly created due to black screen 0:01 - 0:04. Can't confirm.
To fix the issue, please, make cleaner recording setup and try again!

AI unlocking been forbidden already. Because it should be found in the green safe

I'll keep in mind your proposition! I'm still willing to do it single-handedly for now, but as i said in DC, soon i'll need help inevitably. It's holidays, so i'll do my best.
And yeah, it's a bit different - i have to calculate whether video or the timer have been speeded up, note some glitches, etc. Especially on new runs or good runs. May be i'll assign to you some long runs that are more simple to confirm due to lack of runner muscle memory :)
@babyemogirl, Yeah, single-game achievements are part of plain mechanics which seems fine to keep and not just kill the benefit but reduce its OP usability and make dozens of sub-rules to keep things clear. The statement of cross-game benefit remains strict. It protects us from:
-
Mailbox
-
Pre-unlocked stuff
-
Money grinding
-
Complicated file hacks
I am sure these 4 are important to keep out right now
@babyemogirl Ty for prices!
About cross-game advs: i think getting these accidentally on run is really unlikely. So to not torture the runners, rule could be set as simple as "don't benefit from cross-game advs". If someone has 99/100 - it is forbidden for them to gain coins by completion of the adv. The limits are not rough: just finish it quickly to get rid off or don't do it in a purpose. Sure thing it will bite you to start over once a century, but seems not serious to me. What's your opinion?
Achievements are easy to notice on review and thus the rule of 0-coin start can be added as well. Like simple strict clarification that nothing gave you any advantage.
P.S. - I found out that advs that giving you points aren't rare and can give you up to.... 2001 POINTS???!?!?!
I'll add prohibition for benefits from them to the rules as for now, but it's quite interesting now.. Can these speed-up something or they are insanely hard to get?
Also Scuba mask costs 200 apparently.
Debug teleport 'numpad .' teleports to main computing room in 0.8.2b
It is WR for this version. But for 0.8.2b i'll verify 22:11 soon lol
Fun stuff: the most clear thing Kel sees is a mug on the windows. Just look how sharp it is with miopia amongst landscape xd. Bro got some importances settled
Since i also have miopia. I can confirm that's how everything looks. And according to the view, Kel has somewhat around -8 to -10 dioptries on both eyes
So i wish there were some unofficial lists of what's been added to VOTV. Since dev not trying to ruin our experience, we'll ruin in on ours own! I prefer to prioritize mechanics at first. Not events. Since we are on speedrun forum lol
0.8.2b:
Now item box can be found at the base in the closet room above garage on the shelf. It boosts any runs significantly.
Most insane one yet: dev REMOVED speed limit. So the hook can now transfer you through entire map not in like 40 seconds but in a fraction of single second. Hilarious!
I think now the hotbar moved to the top. (Or it was there already?)
Good thing for me: Now ragdoll state can be controlled a bit (you can do a backflip now for sure)
