I'm guessing there's no switch lite capture card? You could always get a camera and point it at your hands (and thus the game console) while you play. The mods probably won't reject your run for that.
Why does every platform have a different category instead of having PC and console separate? Don't they all play roughly the same with the same patches and glitches?
There aren't any runners that are active aside from Mashun doing RDR1 aside from me, and I only do ILs now for the gang hideouts because those are objectively more fun to grind than RDR1 singleplayer levels. 4 years ago, we had SP levels as our IL leaderboard. 4 years ago, there was only like 3 runners that ran them and maybe 10% of the levels had runs. 4 years later, the leaderboards were changed to gang hideouts. More than 3 people have ran them, every gang hideout and co-op mission has at least 2 runners each, and to get a world record in them you actually need to grind for it.
Is it really worth removing the gang hideouts or adding SP levels above or below them so that nobody runs them? Most people would see how empty they are and either think "Oh, this game isn't that optimized, I can get a free world record in this level!" even though Mashun has poured hours and hours into bringing the record to its knees and it's almost a guarantee that any time set by him in a full game run for any individual mission will be faster than the IL time, OR they will see the empty IL leaderboard and how few runners there are and realize that nobody is running the game. At least like this, the MP community can jump in if they want to. And so far, at least 3 of us have.
Also, I notice you said only ps3 multiplayer? Every single existing world record in a gang hideout except Solomon's Folly has been set on an xbox console since the boards were made. Idk where you got the idea that the multiplayer was ps3-only, it's playable on xbox 360, xbox one/s/x, and xbox series s/x. That's very largely accessible imo.
If you're not on one of the recent ports, check out some of the multiplayer stuff. Those are run and easy to grind.
I was not referring to jumping into a door, I was referring to the door clip that Dackage did to get into Gloomy Garden.
BLJs aren't used in 20 star, at least not in world record. Just an arbitrary door clip that saves a tiny bit of time if done right. There isn't much room in 20 star to BLJ anywhere and save real time with it.
Because 20 stars is the minimum required to enter the first boss stage without door clipping and there's no MIPS so there's no BLJing. 20 star is more of a race file since the category is so short. 16 star used to be a full any% run of mario 64 and that's why it still exists when 0 and 1 star exist.
Why would 65 star exist? Boss 3 door requires 80 stars. It's the 70 star equivalent of star road, like how Mario 64 has a No Major Skips any% category star road also has one.
Xbox one X. Yes the variants matter. The Series X is currently untested but the series S had slower loads. Emulators theoretically will run faster but they're banned for multiple reasons.
Bro if you're gonna do a competitive map race, do it right. Gaptooth Breach to the very top right corner of the map. /s
It also has only 2 completions ever and is still just a 0 star run. That isn't elitism, it's moving 2 runners into their own category that won't have submissions for a while because Star Road is pretty quiet and the hyperjump is hard as hell to do. These people did not do Star Road's hardest trick just to be moved off to the side mate, they did it for the recognition of being the two greatest 0 star runners in the world. Again, all respect to TriforceTK for grinding the sub 5 barrier for No Hyperjump, and in comparison his run is more optimized than the hyperjump runs for the tricks used. But that doesn't mean Triforce should be given back the 0 star category world record just because his strategies were different, it should mean he has to try to optimize what these guys have done on his own time to get that record back or make way for new runners to push down the record more. I agree that the mods shouldn't use top times as an excuse, but I agree with their decision.
I would very much recommend the gang hideout ILs though. They are very consistent and easy to run and reset. Maybe my opinion in that regard is biased though, as the world record holder for all of them.
We previously had singleplayer IL leaderboards. Nobody ran them except Joshimuz, and he only ran a couple of them like once each. They aren't anything like the actual any% runs, so they were removed and replaced with something more consistent and fun.
And honestly speaking, I don't really want to see the singleplayer missions added back. They aren't very interesting as IL's because of the differences.
The repeatable quests are under individual levels.
