I know not many people have attempted this category but I still would like to ask what would be the best plan of attack for this category? As in what order should you do the game in order to complete it the fastest?

I reckon doing it in the following order:

• Expert Championship
• Challenge%
• Arcade%
• Novice Championship
• Intermediate Championship

Also how do we add a currently existing game to the game series?

I'd like to be added as a series mod, if that's ok?

Just to mention something as well, the dreamcast version of this game was titled Expert Edition and it's races are much longer than that of the PS1 for some reason.

Ewil the game was never made to run at 60FPS, if you play a game on an emulator then the game should run at the Natural framerate it was supposed to not a higher framerate.

Here's something to mention someone has ran this game in the past and done a Any% run and got some silly time due to the game running at 60FPS and being a TAS, now I know that TAS runs are not allowed because well you're not doing the run - a program is. The whole 60FPS is also another reason why it wasn't allowed either IMO, there are 3 different versions of the game (PAL, NTSC and U) and the last one (U) is actually a modified NTSC iso that allows the game to run at 60FPS.

Plus another thing to note about the 60FPS runs is that there is no game lagging/frame rate drops like in the original game, therefore any game running outside of the natural framerate should be disallowed completely.

It's ok, I do apologise for all of this mess. If we could have a word via PM somehow then that would be better I think.

So it has recently come to my attention that those who are running on Emulators (Including myself) have all got different framerates.

I have got 30FPS for mine however CoopeZz and recently VGRDaftPunk (who recently came on the scene) both have their games running at 60FPS. I'd like to discuss whether these runs should now start to be allowed for the leaderboards as I personally don't think they should.

It sounds like I want this to happen because then I get my record back however considering that the game only ran at 2 main framerates to begin with (25FPS for PAL and 30FPS for NTSC) I think this would be a right decision as then that way the runs are definitely legit as the games are running at their proper framerates.

Any thoughts on this matter would be welcomed as I think we should get this sorted properly.

Hi there, So as some of you may know there is a Championship mode which takes you through the entire game and I was thinking why isn't there a leaderboard for it?

I mean it would make sense since that is something you can do which counts as completing the game, I actually did a full run and it took me just over an hour to complete the game so would be a fun category to do I reckon?

Any thoughts on this would be welcomed :)

The game is rather easy to pick up and play but if you want more of a challenge then you can always go for a harder difficulty ;)

@Ewil I can confirm the game is different on the DS and GBA versions although whether they follow the same route I'm unsure, I did manage to do a Any% run for the GBA version a while back but it is basically Finish the Game as you cannot skip any bosses and there's probably about 2 races that you don't have to do in the entire game to face Razor.
