If that's the case then I can't really suggest anything else besides using the Unlock All Cars cheat which will unlock it for you, sorry :/
It is possible, the easiest way to unlock it I believe is to win one of the championships but I am unsure as to which one you must win to unlock the car :/
Recently I've been thinking about new categories that we could have for this game, mainly for the PSP version. These ideas for categories are as follows:
-
All Treasure Arenas (Complete all Treasure Arenas as fast as possible, choice can be made as to whether to start this from a new game or using a pre-existing one. The difference here would be that if you used a pre-existing save such as a completed all missions one then this run could be finished within around 20-30 minutes whereas the other option would take about 1 hour 20 mins ish from a new save)
-
Any% NG+ (Complete all levels aside from Treasure Arenas, run would start at The Prison and finish at defeating The Kraken. Run would approximately take near to a little over an hour)
Any thoughts on both of these ideas would be much appreciated :)
The date and time (Times in 24h format) The Driver Marathon Start Time: Saturday 9th February 2019 - 12:00 GMT (12 Noon UK Time) The Driver Marathon End Time: Sunday 10th February 2019 - 22:00 GMT (10PM UK Time)
Location: Twitch (Online)
Quick Rules and Guidelines:
-
Make sure to keep chat sensible at all times (No talk of hate speech or political chatter)
-
Jokes are fine as long as they don't go too far (No racial jokes or religious jokes of any kind)
-
Mic and Webcam are optional but not necessary.
-
Glitches are allowed.
-
All Runs will use the Real Time Attack (RTA) timing convention, meaning runs are timed using an external timer (such as WSplit or Llanfair) which can't be paused during the run. The timer does not have to be shown on the video, but the time must be verifiable.
-
No cheats are allowed for any run unless the run is purely cheat related (For example Cheat% etc.)
-
Games can be run on emulators if necessary however if this is the case then you will need to use the following emulators and the correct setups accordingly:
- Visual Boy Advance (Gameboy Advance Games only)
- Gambatte (Gameboy Colour Games only)
- Xebra or ePSXe (PS1 Games only)
- PCSX2 (PS2 Games only)
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask them here and we will get back to answering them as quickly as possible! :)
Ahh well I can give it a try and get back to you on that but I'm not so sure, at least the PAL version definitely works though so there's that ?
Hi there, recently I was testing out the NTSC version of this game and to no surprise it is a lot faster than PAL however there's a hitch which is that, in the NTSC Version the game hardlocks and freezes near the end of Destroy the Yard (Last mission in Vegas)
This seems to be a reoccurring thing on ePSXe but was wondering if anyone had any similar problems with the same version of the game on other emulators?
If it is a major problem on emulator then it seems like a NTSC PS2 with FDS enabled and the NTSC version of this game is your quickest option at running this game.
Hi all, Recently I've been doing some quick research into the different region versions of the PS1 version of the game and found out the following: PAL - Runs at 25FPS normally, can be run at 50FPS as doubled PAL (I believe can be used for this game since it's used in many other games?)
- Police spawn at a slower rate so you have a easier time of getting to the end of missions most of the time without a tail however IGT is slower as are loading screens.
NTSC - Runs at 30 FPS normally, can be run at 60FPS as Doubled NTSC (No idea if this is allowed or not)
- Police spawn more frequently so having a tail near the end of the mission is more common making runs harder as a whole so having good RNG is needed for a good run with this version. IGT is faster meaning runs are quicker to complete.
Japanese Version is the same as NTSC.
Based on this knowledge: If you have a Japanese or American PS2 along with the same region version of the game and enable FDS then the times should drop for this game by a few mins 🤔
If you have any ideas for new full game categories then be sure to write them down here along with a brief description about the category :)
9:11:51 for Colin McRae Rally 2.0 on PC - 100% Category Yeah that's right a rally game played for over 9 hours straight XD
So there's this game called GT Advance 2: Rally Racing for the GBA and I was thinking if you liked CMR 2.0 on GBA then you'll probably enjoy this one too.
Feel free to have a go at it if you wish and here's the link if you are: https://www.speedrun.com/gtadvance2/full_game
Have Fun ?

Hi there, I'm quite interested in running this game for the first time and wanted to attempt this category first. When exactly does the timer start and end? I would imagine it starts when you start the game after creating a new profile and ends when you fly to Hawaii or land in Hawaii?
Any help on this would be great, thanks :)
If you've got any skips or tricks that you might use for runs then feel free to post them here :)
So far we have two which are:
- The skip dialogue glitch which is enabled by running the game in Windowed Mode and holding the window everytime someone talks (Tutorial Videos, Unlock new Liveries, Showdown talks etc.)
- The flashback trick which allows you to complete a mission making the Japan race near the end much faster to finish in the Road to X-Games (Europe) run, this is done by having the difficulty set to Rookie and using all 5 flashbacks before retiring from the race giving you just enough XP to enter the Europe X-Games event. This trick allows you to gain about 1-1.5 minutes for this particular run but isn't worth it in the longer runs such as Road to X-Games (Asia), Any% and 100%.
Any more tricks or skips then feel free to add them here, if possible with video proof but if not then a text message will still be fine :)
Quick question but what games can be submitted? Is there a exception to fighting games/combat games? As in anything but these genres of games?
Just to ask @swampert938 would you be able to reupload your current stage time for Finland Stage 3 as it is unavailable to view? If you do not resubmit with the correct video we will be forced to reject your current run within the next few hours I'm afraid sorry. :/
