Besides from this would having 1.3 digital and 1.0 physical be possible and to get 1.0 Physical would I need to factory reset my switch completely or could I do the factory reset without removing user accounts and save data
So I have a main Celeste for speedrunning and a one with Everest for practice. So basically whenever I boot the Everest it always boots the original since that's the one in the Steam directory. My question is if possible how can I boot them both without having to replace the folder in steam. Also if doing this with the original unmodified version would it be allowed to play on that version. The only reason I'm asking this is because there are other steam games you can do this with (ex : Undertale)
Well what about 1.3.0 Physical vs 1.0.0 Physical, would it be faster to have 1.0.0 or 1.3.0 for a Physical cart
I know this may seem dumb but, I just wanted to know. So basically is 1.0.0 even worth it anymore or is using 1.3.0 digital about the same or faster. I've noticed a lot of times using digital 1.3.0 vs Physical 1.0.0 but I've wondered which one is faster. Also how big of a difference is there between 1.3.0 Digital and 1.3.0 Physical.
So after seeing the wr I of course wanted to play this game. So I'm horrible so I just want to start off by doing ILs. My question is for the ILs can I use the Debug Mode. Also if allowed is there a way to get debug without using a modified settings file from everest?
Well the lake skip thing was just an example, this was just to show a potential for not having to go into first person and be able to move and also for tricks like lake skip where first person isn't avaliable
So I recently found this zoom option in the settings and found a potentially useful way to use this in speedruns so would doing this be allowed?
Video Link :
(you can also zoom into the compass for more precise movements rather than looking at mario) (also this was filmed by having my phone pushed up against joy cons so sorry for the horrible quality)
So the practice codes that are in the "Resources" section require you to download a custom save file (which I assume boots into the codes.), but would using this custom save file with the cheats disabled (and booting straight from the wii no homebrew) would this be allowed as I plan on saving if I ever do a speedrun (I suck) or would I have to remove my memory card (I don't have a second card). Thanks - Unbones
Nintendo released Punch-Out for the online thing, so would using this for runs be allowed?, Also WiiUVC, NESmini, and Switch version all have "restore points" AKA savestates so would using these be allowed for ILS?
Revenge : The Unseen Ending
(This Game has been cancelled, but I do have a download link for it) Video : There are 2 versions of this game, but I plan on having 2 separate categories (New Revenge and Old Revenge) Website / Wikipedia : https://gamejolt.com/games/revenge_ut/351605

@Sizzyl There most likely won't be a category split due to not all computers not being the same and emulators being inaccurate to real consoles. So for a category split there would be system requirements. Also people would most likely not run this category, since 1. they would rather just play on a console and 2. Most people wouldn't want to potentially damage their game when, they have invested hours into it
This is because, pressing space insta kills you
The only programs I know that work with this are : OBS Studio (any version) and Iris : Screen Recorder (what i use, versions before sound siphon 3.0)
You need these programs which I will link here Sound Flower : https://github.com/mattingalls/Soundflower/releases and Sound Siphon 2.1.1 : https://staticz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000041912-Sound-Siphon-2-1-1-Release-Notes-and-Download (HAS TO BE 2.1.1 3.0 DOESN'T WORK) Here is the video tutorial : Watch in 720p I don't know why you need soundflower, but it just works somehow
I think you misunderstood I was asking if there is a way to get the DRM Free Version on mac
Hello Undertale speedrunning community, I was wondering if there is a way to get the DRM Free Version from steam on mac the file that needs to be deleted for it to boot without steam isn't there and If I can't get it what are the exact time differences between the versions okay bye
