I have also started the game, and unplugged my controller and it still does this

So I have recently gotten my SNES working again, but whenever I boot up Super Mario World everything is perfectly fine in the menu and in the levels but the moment I go to the map, it automatically joins the level that mario is standing over. I'll edit this with footage when I'm able to so yeah.

Edit 1: Also I have cleaned my SMW Cart already and it seems that SMW is the only game that works

Edit 2: Here

I've noticed in some streams of this game the flashing lights from the tetris are removed. How do they do this? Is it some secret mode in the game, or is it something done with OBS, or AmaRec.

So Mesen a while back added run-ahead support, which theoretically makes it have the lowest input lag, so I was wondering if this feature is allowed. As far as I can tell it only runs ahead and doesn't remove any lag. The only reason I'm asking is since I practice and occasionally run on Mesen.

I noticed for the main game leaderboards that Mesen is allowed, but here Mesen isn't listed as an allowed emulator. Does Mesen not run game genie codes as accurately or something? I'm just wondering as Mesen is my emulator of choice for NES.

Doesn't work, so my game genie must be busted or something. Does the powerpak have game genie built in, and if it does is it allowed for AISSON?

So I bought a game genie for nes to try out AISSON on real hardware, but when I put it in it just shows a gray screen and the light starts blinking. Is there a way to fix this? Would this be a hardware problem or a game genie problem please help thanks

I am trying to run AISSON on Nestopia, but I click codes and choose Game Genie and type, AISSON, then I click current under game, then I click submit and it says my code is invalid. I could use Mesen or FCEUX, but there is to much input lag for me, so how do I fix this

For all the top runners, they all use an input display, yet I cant figure out how you do it. Can someone link me to a guide or something for NES input displays, thanks

I know Mac has a built-in keyboard input viewer. Go to System Preferences - Keyboard - Then Click "Show Keyboard, Emoji, & Symbol Viewers in menu bar." Click the icon with the Command Symbol then click show keyboard viewer. I haven't found another way to record / show keyboard inputs on mac. If you have access to a decent windows PC you can probably run your game on there (I'm assuming it's a 2D game since you're playing on keyboard) and use "NohBoard" which is a good keyboard input viewer.

So the rules say that mouse wheel is banned, and this is so you don't bind grab to it and make levitating very easy. I was wondering though could I bind zoom in and out to mouse wheel? I don't have it on PC yet, but once it's on Steam I'm going to get it. So I was just wondering if you bind it to zoom in and out would it still be banned

What's the difference? Is it loading times, because if it is how do you force digital to download to console and not on SD (1. My SD Card is low on space, and 2. Just in case of it being faster I want the fastest version.) Is the only way to force it to install is removing the SD card, and if it is will it damage the switch in any way? I've also noticed SD has 1.0 runs and as far as I'm aware the only way you can get 1.0 digital is with hacks, so is this a term for someone hacking their version to 1.0? I just want to know just in case if I buy the game physically.

I know that his 1:38 is legendary and all, but I thought the community voted to have remapping analog to digital banned. If I misunderstood someone please tell me, but if it was banned, why is cheese's run up

I would want to mod my console in the future because I'm going to speedrun a lot of games and so swapping out the shell every single time would just be inconvenient for me.

Edit: Also I don't have an SM64 NTSC-J cart yet until I get a Gameshark pro or a gambit screwdriver to region mod / swap the back

In the IL rules, it states "EverDrive-64 is allowed." and "2D analog inputs must be mapped to another 2D analog input (e.g. cannot map an angle on an analog stick to the L button on a GCC)". I was wondering, 1. As far as I'm aware the everdrive is an emulator and removes lag and, 2. Why is mapping for framewalk allowed on the full game leaderboards, but not on IL leaderboards. (I also don't want to start anything, but remapping on console shouldn't be allowed on any leaderboards)
