Emulators are banned/allowed on a game by game basis so ask the mods of the game if emulator is allowed if you want to be sure.
The general consensus though is that for older consoles like NES where emulation is very accurate, it's allowed to use them.
Just a heads up, maybe don't put such a click-bait title and then have the first thing on a post be a link, immediately makes people think "this account is a spam bot", especially if the post involves money in some way.
Yeah wait what concerns to we have that you need to address lol.
You're the one who seems to have some strange concerns here.
Not to mention one of the ones who was active recently is a super mod, so you should be asking them if they need moderation help and they can add you if they need it.
Apparently someone says that with an exp route they have it'll only take maybe 4 hours to grind to Level 99.
I was wrong, maybe that would be okay then.
Eddiecatgaming, you abuse this thread way too much. Every request you make here is to become a mod for a very popular game with very active mods - you've been told repeatedly this is not the point of this thread.
If you want to be mod on a game like that, you should ask the moderators if they need help first because they are all extremely active on this site (as they have always been with your requests). Given their activeness, I doubt they'll need another mod, but you cannot circumvent them by trying to avoid asking them and just coming here.
On a serious note now, yes, casual completely fits for what we're describing.
When someone goes for a run, if they say "I went for a casual jog" it means they went for a relaxing, steady jog instead of a full on run. They don't say "I went for a traditional jog", that just sounds strange.
Instead of speedrunning through a game, you casually go through it and play it at a different pace.
You're looking way to much into what we mean by this word.
This question shows up a lot if someone runs a game that is not yet on the site because then they can't even find the game to submit a run. So yeah, it just happens. And besides, it's not like it took me a lot of time out of my day to grab an image and a link :p
well for game specific questions it's best asked in the forums of the game http://www.speedrun.com/tmc/forum.
But I can help a bit. There is no Minish Cap on the Wii, only the Wii U VC. Idk if it's possible to homebrew a Wii U to access an out of region shop (it's possible on Wii for sure, but Wii doesn't have GBA games). If you absolutely have no way of running on GBA (through Gameboy Player) then I would recommend just doing English Wii U VC and save up to buy the equipment needed to run on GBA.
When/If you move to GBA, you just have to buy a JP Minish Cap cart (Amazon and Ebay are your friends). GBA games aren't region locked so as long as you have a Gameboy Player, you can play a GBA game from any region (just make a note, the Gameboy Player startup disc MUST match the region of your Gamecube - so US Gamecube needs US GBA Player Startup disc but can play any region games).
Hopefully all that made sense and helps, good luck and if you have additional or more in depth questions, I'd take it to the Minish Cap forums (they even have a discord linked there). They can offer you more specific help.
Find the game you have a run for and hit this button
If your game isn't on the site, you can request it at http://www.speedrun.com/requestgame
"I don't want to help the community unless Im a mod"
How kind of you.
