I know for a fact that i can run Discord, watch a YT video and play Minecraft and some other game while getting a very small hint of lag on a Ryzen 5 3600G 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a vega 11 graphics card (which is the biggest issue tbh). But i would really recommend looking for some double 16 sticks so you can have more memory, i find 16GB not that good for doing multi-tasking.
If you don't switch any of the game rules, it should be fine, just a bit suspicious for some people.
If the main souce of the usage is Minecraft, then lower the settings a bit. Maybe you just have too much for the CPU, like smooth lighting max or 32 chunks of render distance. If it is not this game however, then you need to look at the startup programs in task manager and see if they are really taxing the CPU. Also, upgrading the RAM would help the game out anyway, i have 16GB and i am confident in saying that is a perfect balance of usage and pricing.
@Hammyburrger22 SpeedRun IGT is the recommended timer, however there is an option in the Game Bar settings to allow the background elements and stuff to show up while you capture Minecraft. Its in the Recording section (i think since i dont have an english windus 10 install), and should cause LiveSplit to show up. This is also usefull for other games, too.
^^^ Same applies to myself. I have the 1.0 physical release of the game and i am curious to see if i can speedrun this game.
@Brandedapk this site is a minecraft scam, you should be banned from here already
