Haha, magical! I accelerate during the cutscene and the truck jumps out free after the cutscene is done. Afaik, you cannot dupe and get control in the cutscene, though. You can have one instance and om=0 or two instances and om=1, there is no way to get a call with two instances.

Shooting the messenger is... feel free to skip this paragraph^^ ...disliking people for telling you the facts that you do not like. The messenger is only reporting the facts, he is not responsible for them. Therefore, it does not make sense to dislike him. It would be if the message was "you are not funny", though. :D In this case it is different, though: My message is that 4¤ are the optimal route now, I was the first to say that in the thread.

Flying..... If I had finished the sentence it would have said that Freefall disables Hydra spawns. IIRC, it is "disable_air_traffic".

Highjack

The only barriers there are at the Badlands side, this is south of LV. It wastes on minute compared to the first bridge south to that one but getting past that - I could never get close to it...

Gael, for that reason I kept that strat secret... Reset, there are no car cops, only foot cops when you are on foot, the scripted cop spawns and road blocks.

The time save is too big, we will have to accept the Woozie skip. I could hope for people just forgetting this 4¤ LV/Desert thing but it would be stressful and most likely would not work in the long term. Unless you don't buy that, please don't shoot the messenger... thanks. Well, you can still hate me since I found SA mission duping...

Madd Dogg cancels it so that you get normal traffic and cops again, SMB unlocks LV.

IIRC, the foot cops are not that bad since we have 120 missiles from Toreno's Last Flight.

I am currently working on a way to get over the ... those 50cm high thungs on bridges that keep you from falling of ... of the LV bridge.

Calls can be taken by saving and then from the "saved - ok' screen on you pause buffer and hope you get the call.

Flying has the risk of Hydras shooting you, but not during.

Madd Dogg with cops is fun.

Stowaway without parachute is fun.

Freefall is back, but without the Hydras at least.

On the upside, non of the SF missions from Photo Opportunity require traffic, so unless there is a mission like Madd Dogg we could use this from Photo Opportunity on. For Snail Trail we use a parked car to get scrioted cop spawns using the 3¤ from Outrider which we do not need to get rid off since now cops are quite managable.

The fucking bullshit Explosive Situation dupe is obsolete.

555 waiting semi-skip, hype!

Let's see how we can use the Outrider waiting time.

That's nice to hear! :) Are these following strats already known to them / you? I have not posted them here, yet: Gaining control during cutscenes by ending calls (taking and then hanging up or have it end by itself):

Dying with onmission=0 does not fail the mission unless the mission checks for death (and then makes the mission fail).

Edit: I do not see how the dying with onmission=0 thing is useful for getting those vehicles. It allows duping the Black Project without starting it during Quarry by starting Black Project the second time after wasted warping after the alarm went off.

Phone call start High Noon, then start Vigilante during that mission.

It might try to spawn chars or vehicles that have not loaded, crashing the game. Therefore, this should only be used in segmented runs. I have also had one instance just cancel.

The effect is skipping every second level.

Link to LS saves How to use Put one of those into GTA San Andreas User Files which is in your Documents directory. The number in the save file name is the slot, change it to your liking. For "casual" runs, just use the 45 percent muscle, else read further.

Save Details They have 100% cycling skill, 100% stamina, infinite sprint, 2.5% fat, 45% or 100% muscle, depending on the save.

How fat/muscle affect speed: Running:

  • fat and muscle do not make a difference until a threshhold is reached
  • if you have 50% muscle, you run slower, with 0 to 49% muscle you run with "normal" speed
  • maybe the game adds fat and muscle, I forgot (that would mean: 20% muscle + 30% fat = 50% -> running slower)

Cycling:

  • every bit of fat slows you down
  • every bit of muscle makes you faster (did not test insane muscle like 100%, though)
  • cycling skill makes you faster

--> It is a tradeoff, someone test. ^^ I cannot because I had to use some old HDD with a cluttered OS to boot, everything is slooooow, including SA.

My bad. ^^ Whatever, the game crashes on passing with your "method" and Nick says it will crash at the end for the potential instapass as well. If not on starting. Still, I am interested if I fluked another instapass. :D

This was supposed to be an instapass? 99% of the time it crashes when you combine two missions, but maybe with the right version it is an instapass and does not crash (do not get your hopes up, 99%).

Ok, if you just do a demo and do not get it "all the time" for the purpose of getting a good IV time, you are right.

Ryedawg linked someone beating Kyle's "impossible" driving times for small sections and the response was a) "but you drove so much better than him" - implying the diff he beat him by should have been bigger but wasnt due to cheated handling files? b) maybe he does not edit his handling and scripts If you would reproduce the drive 1-to-1 then the problem remains that Kyle uses scripted (recorded and ppayed back) drives to achieve the same thing.

This was found back when we used the SDA forums. Found and tested by "any", explained by Lighnat0r.

You can stay at the gym (read the quote)

It is slower than just driving in any% but used in 100% to warp after Courier since there you can use the time you wait for the call to spray tags.

Yes, if you do not take all calls after Vertical Bird, you are fine. There are four calls available after SMB. One of them, the Sweet call, is disabled after Vertical Bird. So, in order to have one call left for duping: If you get the Sweet call after SMB (listen to the first line), you have 3 calls left after Vertical Bird (4 minus one taken) and can take two. Otherwise, you have 2 calls left after Vertical Bird (4 minus one taken minus one disabled by Vertical Bird(Sweet)) and can take one.

You start Cut Throat Business normally and drive to Loc. To fail the mission, you need to headshot Madd Dogg - IIRC from close range. Then un-aim, cancel the call that should come in immediately, then call start Trucking and watch the video for the rest. Caps is action/2nd fire

I have not done extensive tests on how reliable the jumping out of the hospital tutorial is - the wasted warp does not save much time compared to driving anyways.

After passing CTB, don't start any side/submission (saying just in case^^) and start Riot "normally". Since one CTB instance is still running, it is "turned" into a second Riot instance. Hold W and D to survive the cars (similar to Ran Fa Li). I have survived that 5 times, I do not know how slim the chances are to flip irrecoverably that way. I flipped a couple times when I did not hold W D until being back on four wheels.

I edited the post on holding skip buttons: the second Tanker Commander cs is also skippable by holding.

Ok. It is skippable as soon as CJ turns his head to The Truth before starting to talk.

Btw, you can hold F for dupes relying on taking the call. You can hold F to skip calls in general. Also you can hold instead of mashing to skip the Jizzy call cutscenes and the cutscene after getting into the car during Ran Fa Li [tduva's findings].

You can also hold to get to the next Flight School lesson (both for the results screen and the "press to start") and the Tanker commander cutscenes (Tanker Commander, not First Date).

So in short: all calls, all calls cutscenes during Jizzy, the Ran Fa Li car cutscene (hold handbrake and A) all Flight School lesson skips, first Tanker Commander cutscene.

o.O Oh man, I never noticed that I did not specify which cutscene causes problems ... FailFish It is the Mothership cutscene. For the rest, it does not matter, afaik. I see no reason that it would matter, since the Mothership cs softlock is clearly understood from reading the logs and the other cutscenes work differently.

Calls do not matter. There is no reason to doubt that the dupe has happened, we have done it a lot and there is no theoretical reason it would not work.

Which cutscenes can you skip with Enter/Exit? I did not know this was a thing. The Mothership cutscene cannot be skipped with F, that was easy to tell from the audio.

My bad, tduva. The info about re-starting BP had been missing, though, IIRC. I like the text about the crash better now, ^^

You mashed one button which did not skip the cutscene and then pressed another button and that instantly skipped it? So you skipped too late. I can skip it with the mouse wheel (sprint on foot, nothing inside cars), so I guess you have foot control and can skip with shooting and sprinting - and maybe some other button, I am not very knowledgable on cutscene skips. ^^

You mash as if your life depended on it. :D Chill. After the skip is "enabled", nothing interesting happens for the next few microseconds and then it waits for 1000 ms. You need to skip in those 1000ms.

I cancelled the download and now have to go... I guess it crashed on the second attempt? Read my post about it, it is two or three posts back. Just CTRL-f for Black Project.

Oh man, this is complicated. I do not know if saving for health after Snail Trail is worth it. For bad/decent runners, probably, but this strat is only for the pros anyways.

If you do save after Snail Trail, then the 80% hp loss is not too bad in the short term because you have 80% or so health left and 20% armor, that is enough for P69, Toreno's Last Flight, and Yay-Ka Boom Boom, but you will miss your armor in LV.
