@Mytherium and I have the same issue in Chrome. I've started writing my rejection response in a different window and copy-pasting it in the rejection box before the 500 response comes in haha. It seems that after I write a few letters, it triggers the 500.

It might have something to do with recaptcha, based on my network headers/responses. Or maybe this gives no relevant information. Worth a shot.

Credit goes to @Cytruss for this discovery. The idea is that you can skip levels but pressing "next level" very quickly. With further testing, I discovered you can basically do it excessively, such that you can unlock up to the last level of the game. Skipped levels cannot be unlocked, and the glitch doesn't seem to work between unlocked levels. So (I think) you need to clear your game data before executing this. Finally, it's very easy to cause the game to crash and miss the final level. So this glitch actually takes some skill and good timing. I'll be making a glitchless category and moving all the other Any% runs to that.

Edit: @Cytruss had all levels unlocked beforehand, so no need to clear save data.

Hmm, I'm sure there's an app for your mac aside from livesplit that would work. Have you looked into it much?

@Sizzyl thanks for the suggestions! Currently speedrun.com does not allow you to mark ascending for a subcategory, so we have to keep the leaderboard as is.

Also the reason your math category switched is due to a known, unfixable glitch on freerice.com. We don't know why it occurs, so please keep watch of it when you are running math :D

Also, I noticed you don't have a timer in your endurance run. Do you need help finding a timer that works? I recommend using LiveSplit.

In any case, now that some time has passed, I'm thinking of changing endurance rules to allow no timer. It's really only useful for tracking break times, so it's unnecessary... Let's say this is a vote. Please (everyone) comment if you object to this rule change or like this post if you support it. I'll post about it in the discord and then change the rule later this week. @Sizzyl you'll have to wait a bit for your runs to be accepted until the rule change is finalized.

UppercaseT found a glitch called Menu Storage in which you can hold down the cat switch menu and later release it to switch to a cat off of the switch pad. Doing so while in water saves the state of the original cat (Brutus), so next time you switch to Brutus, he thinks he's getting out of water and jumps. UppercaseT calls this Jump Storage -- this is the first practical use for it. In 2-7, I figured you could first run and jump with Alex and switch to Brutus in midair to get on the blue platforms. Instead, I discovered that the ceiling has no boundary. Thanks to this new strat and the finding earlier this week (oob to goal) I have officially obliterated 2-7 lol Oh and, unrecorded, I found you can oob after getting the bell and climb up the blocks instead of smashing them to get to the other side. So Shinji meets Shinji in a run is doable with only a few seconds time loss if Menu Glitch is executed quickly @MrUppercaseT :) Also, just confirmed Jump Storage works with lava. There could be some nice uses for it in lava based levels. For instance, we now know Jump Storage can work to skip the shop in 2-H and 5-H, but its not a time save.

It'd be nice if the site administrators popped up here every once in a while. They went from frequent posts on this thread 3 years ago to even less 2 years ago. By the time I got to srcom, it was just kirkq commenting every once in a while. Last admin post was from Pac in November, 2017. I haven't seen any of them post here or acknowledge feature requests in a year.

@MrUppercaseT did a run of this game today at GamesFinished, so I figured I'd redownload. My game now runs faster, so I'm up for playing it again! And I found this skip in 2-7!

@Cornboi open the menu and select the locked cat that you want. You have to do it very quickly and it might take many attempts. Same thing works for helpers.

Hey yall, I was going through these ILs and noticed that timing is strange for a lot of these. Even some videos I timed were not timed correctly. Many of the world 1 levels don't even have timers, so I'm not sure how those were timed (I forgot what we did with that).

Is someone willing to clean up the ILs and retime if necessary? The current rules state that time starts when the cat meows and ends when the end level animation starts playing (The cat changes its facial expression). Honestly, I'd even consider switching to IGT to clean up the leaderboard.

I also just remembered that some levels can end without seeing the cat. For instance, Amy in world 5 can climb up to a bonus level and win without us seeing her.

I really think we should just switch to IGT. If the player hits an enemy, we can decrement 5 seconds from their final time. Anyone like the sound of that?
