One thing you could try, is to use the "Bluemaxima Flashpoint" project (a project dedicated to preserve old flash games due to the incoming stop for browser flash support, downloaded from https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/ ), which runs the game locally on your computer through flash.
This has the potential to reduce game lag, even for stronger computers. For example, we recently found out that all the flash games in Robot Wants series work much better while running locally, than playing them on the browser, and we aren't going back.
I'm not sure if your computer will handle the games differently that way, with OBS and Livesplit working at the same time, but it may be worth a try.
You should however, check with the game mods/community if that is allowed. The flashpoint program takes the games versions from specific sites (like Armor Games, Newgrounds, Kongregate, etc), and sometimes the versions are different between different sites.
But as @Timmiluvs said, if your computer can't handle browser games then it is probable time for an upgrade.
Edit: You can also try playing on a different browser. I found for myself that Google Chrome is sometimes not the best when it comes to handling CPU usage. I personally use Firefox or Pale Moon browsers for speedrunning browser games not in flash, and for flash games the mentioned flashpoint program.
Hello. Can those games please be set with the "webgame" tag?

A little necroing, but wanted to say that Livesplit has released a major version 1.8 a few days ago, and among other changes, it now also have the "Ignore mouse while running and not in focus" option in the layout settings.
No need to mess with the development build anymore.
Okay, update: Version 1.8 of Livesplit came out a few days ago, and it should fix the problem for you, I think.
You can either play your full-screen game when livesplit is "Always on top" (and also should enable the new option "Ignore mouse when running and not in focus", so you won't click on it by mistake during a run), OR you can activate livesplit timer when it is in the background (but not minimized) and play your game as well, but without seeing the timer.
I just checked for myself, OBS is fine with both cases.
I think that happens if Livesplit window is minimized. It still working fine at full speed, but OBS can't track any visual record from it in minimized state.
I'm doing a little sweep on all the games I'm moderating, and I was wondering about the theme of this one. This is the first game I set up on the site before I fully knew what I was doing.
So, what do you people think about the theme? (hopefully someone still see this)
I don't know if I like the current background image, I think it is too bright and stuffed with details. The speedrun logo font is taken straight up from the in-game menu button, but it's boring. I am proud of the trophy icons though.
While there are some free PC games on Steam, itch.io and the such, If you want to go free you can always search for web games. Almost 1000 games in wide variety of genres and lengths.
