So there's a high score run (key fast small 1 apple) where they only get one apple, but have submitted a score of 800 because it took them 800 ms to get that apple. ???
Yeah there's no difference between which one you do first, just different streamers did different ones first because of preference and it turned into a joke. (Some people also say runs that don't do XD skip will be rejected but that's just a joke too)
It might be because you have to get hint art from other kingdoms before you can get the last few moons in that kingdom
Yeah that's what I was thinking too as the 3 singles are much faster than getting 3 home runs. The only problem is that it's hard to consistently hit singles because if you mess up and miss it completely that wastes loads more time.
Ok thanks. That'll teach me to not use OBS properly... :)
I guess it would be too easy to fake that score in the top left to be anything I wanted, its fair enough it doesnt count
This is the later video I am talking about, with the previous score of 37 in the top left:
Recently I was doing some runs when I got a new highscore, but unfortunately I was not recording the actual run so I do not have video proof. However, I did record some runs afterwards and I realise that my best score from the runs earlier is displayed in the top left in that video.
Will this be accepted as valid proof, or do I have to have evidence of the run when I beat the highscore?
I was just wondering if it might actually be faster to deliberately get singles instead of a home run every hit - that way you still get a run every hit but you do not have to show the entire running animation every time.
It would be interesting to find the fastest way to get runs, even if it is not possible to guarantee that in a run.
Can you add Key mode to multi mode(fast) as well please?
Edit: Thanks!
This looks so useful (no more retiming every good run by myself)!
In the video you said it only works for the main categories - did you mean only classic mode or only 25,50,100 apples?
Whenever I see it they throw the nut into water, go to wherever it respawns, and pick it up.
Once you've done that you jump, throw it and dive forwards straight away. You have to catch it and throw it again at the right time, and then repeat forever.
(This video explains it better than me: )
I think you have to be in version 1.0 to do it - it got patched out later. I'm not sure what you actually do though

Hi, I've noticed when watching runs that some people playing the game don't have the vines at the end of level 1 - is there a different version of the game that I should use so that I don't have vines either?
Yeah that looks great - particularly the w2 mystery box (who knew it did another frame after the ending text boxes) and one-up farming off boom boom! Hope you make more at some point if you have the time!
Actually, the switch might load SMG faster than the Wii, but I think it would only change the overall time a bit and it wouldn't matter. (You are allowed to play on the Wii u instead of the Wii so I don't think the hardware matters, it only matters if there are major differences between the original version and 3DAS version)
I'm not sure, as far as I am aware the game is largely the same on the switch as the Wii so it probably doesn't matter.
The 3d all stars category was added so that people could submit runs for all 3 games (480 stars etc), and also because the switch versions have had some glitches patched (BLJ) so they are actually slower to run that the original.
Hi, I am wondering about starting to speedrun this game, but as I am new to this website I don't know the rules for video submissions.
Do I have to have a timer of some sort visible in the video so that my time can be verified, or would a phone camera pointing at my 3ds be fine?
