I asked Illumina about it one time and he said yes, but it would mean that your run comes under F3. I'm not a moderator here so I wouldn't know for sure though
No entiendo noreugo, por eso usé Google Translate.

Hello,
I recently found a way to use joy2key to map Xbox 360 controller inputs to keyboard and mouse inputs hence allowing me to play Minecraft Java this way. I very much like this as my first experience of Minecraft was the X360 version and I have always found the controllers more comfortable.
Would this be allowed for speedrunning? On speedruns for games which allow Virtual Console or Emulators the general rules seem to be no analogue to digital conversion, one-to-one button mapping, and no macros/auto-clickers/etc. (it is possible to use joy2key to click very quickly). I suppose that I map the bumpers towards mouse wheel scrolling so I can change items (Buttons 4 & 5 didn't work for some reason) which is arguably analogue to digital conversion, but I don't see it as a huge advantage considering it is slower and quite awkward, so I don't see a reason for it being banned. I know that keyboard and mouse is more comfortable for some people, and is probably better for high precision inputs, but that is not the point here, I am asking if I would be allowed since I don't think it gives me an unfair advantage in any way.
Why did you post a new thread after commenting the exact same thing on an existing thread?
Geosquare says that the spawn finder is allowed for RSG co-op but not RSG solo. I see no problem with the enchantment cracker personally.
What category are you trying to do on your LAN? Why are you trying to change the time of day?
Our old seed for any% set seed glitchless had 8 eyes in the portal and 4 ender pearls in chests, so no endermen needed but that route still required a nether trip. Though yes there are seeds which give portals with 12 eyes which would make the category quite short. However, the chance is only 1 in 1,000,000,000,000 (literally) so it would be completely unrealistic for random seed.
It's worth remembering that we do have categories right now which take less than 1 second, e.g. Obtain Diamond.
We already have a thread for this idea https://www.speedrun.com/mc/thread/jbme0 As I say there, I have nothing against other people running this but I personally would not like it because someone will find a seed next to a cliff and then it will literally just boil down to double pressing W and whoever has the best hardware. Random Seed will be mostly luck to try to do the above.
Do you mean the goal is to reach the end dimension but without needing to do the Ender Dragon fight?
Personally, I think that sounds too similar to any% for my own liking (I could just do the normal route but no need to shear sheep or pick up snowballs, and not quite so much food,) but I see no reason why it should not be allowed.
I personally think it would be fun, but doubt that it would be accepted.
If the portal had eyes already filled in you would not need to get 12 ender pearls. What category are you considering for this? For Any% set seed glitchless we have seeds where the stronghold has enough ender pearls in chests combined with the eyes already filled in so you do not need to trade or kill endermen. Furthermore, the ender dragon fight is significantly harder and slower from 1.9 onwards, so even if someone was lucky enough for the above route to work, I do not think it would achieve a WR. It remains an interesting idea though.
@charlieultra24 I wasn't suggesting that I thought you wanted that, but I do think the title is slightly suggestive of it.
Glitchless - All glitches are banned, exploits are still alllowed. Glitch - The use of an unintended mechanic for an unintended purpose Exploit - The use of an intended mechanic for an unintended purpose
I suppose this depends on whether the developers intended that placing a villager in water underneath opaque blocks would cause them to give discounts.
But in practise, I would agree that this question is not very relevant as 1.7 is faster either way.
You should be able to delete your comments (Click the triple bar in the top right hand corner of the comment.) I agree with you in a way but I do not think the original category should be deleted.
"If I were to change the 3 to a 4, I'll get a completely different [world]." Sorry but this isn't quite true, as there are some things which are only affected by certain numbers in the seed. E.g. we formerly used the seed -2242547518357798464 for Any% No Glitch, e.g. Then we found a more recent seed, -2063810908146531904 Despite using two different seeds, and the overworlds initially appearing different, you will see that the nether, end, and stronghold (including the number of eyes in the portal, crucially) are exactly the same. I believe the cause of this is because the way that the seeds are processed means that the nether, end, and stronghold generation is determined solely by functions which only use certain numbers in the seed, or which put the numbers through a function which produces the same result for these two seeds (in the same way that the function f(x) = cosh(x) produces the same output for -6 and +6). I cannot tell you for certain, because I do not know exactly what these functions are, but I suspect that there are many ways in which two different seeds can give the same world.
By the way, the "beacons" in the end are called "ender crystals." A beacon is actually a separate item, which you obtain by crafting a Nether star (from killing the wither) with 5 glass and 3 obsidian, which you place on a pyramid of iron, gold, emerald, or diamond (doesn't change the results so use iron because it's cheapest) to get a beam of light into the sky and, more importantly, a host of buffs including speed, haste, resistance, jump boost, strength, and regeneration. You also need to feed it an iron ingot, gold ingot, emerald, or diamond every time you want to set the status effect. The higher the pyramid, the stronger the buffs, plus a greater radius in which you can receive them. The beacon buffs all players in that range and they only. Imo, they're relatively useless for such a difficult item to obtain, but I think they are fun to play around with and good for decoration/aesthetics.
"At least twelve wool": According to SpoonTy, it's actually possible with 3 beds = 9 wool, but I agree that it's much more reliable to use >= 4.
Finally, I recommend that you fullscreen the game window when recording.
I use likes sparingly, but thank you and well done for your informative video. I enjoyed it very much on the large part.
