sleeping...?
also, here's a bunch of CRTs.
Some room
I suppose a donation incentive for Age of Empires could be to show some cheats after the run, but that's assuming that we'll finish under estimate, which will be tight. ($50-75? I'm not expecting many people to watch this so maybe something low.)
GTA: Vice City any% can have radio station choices (Wildstyle, Flash FM, K-Chat, Fever 105, VRock, VCPR, Espantoso, Emotion 98.3, Wave 103, MP3 Player) for donation incentives. The way it would work in my mind is that whichever radio station has the most money put towards it, will get played if possible.
Putting it back to the community is a sensible choice, as with the Mumble, etc. also, maybe we can help Nord go with the money if nothing else
If you want to learn any%, I made a tutorial that you can find on my YouTube, but it's outdated and does not include the Japanese version strats. if you want to learn JP, I'd say watch my tutorial, then learn from WR or a commentated run (I will be running this at ESA so there will be a run with commentary soon.)
As for "no replays", Fatzke has an older tutorial that you can watch on his YouTube. Also, keep in mind that we used replays even back in the days of SSA, though you could exclude replays for reloading weapons and for SSA vehicle spawn manipulation and bam, a no replay VC run. Also, you can dupe without replays, you know. :^)) We don't actually have an official "no replay" category though, because nobody cares about using severely outdated strats here at #gta. Anyway, hope I helped.
Vice City's estimate can go down to 1:01:00.
If runners are willing I could commentate parts of GTA: Vice City 100% and parts of Adam's portion of the Age of Empires IL Showcase.
For my Vice City any% run, I'd like to commentate the whole thing mostly on my own, but it would be ok for Fatzke/Tyr/S/Eidgod/Adam/anyone else who knows what they're watching to chime in occasionally if I'm not saying anything.
As for Age of Empires, it'd be totally fine for Onin or Adam to co-commentate the ILs if I'm not saying anything during a long IL or something.
Yeah, All Missions as it is now can stay as it is, but maybe this could lead to the creation of some other categories now that it's a bit more clear as to what the game seems to consider a mission. Nobody even really actively does All Missions (except for KZFREW), but it has already been done seriously by others (including myself) in the past, so there's no reason to remove all those runs from the leaderboard. Maybe considering it misc. would be a reasonable choice, but it's not high-priority stuff imo. Might as well just leave everything the way it is while keeping this "discovery" in mind.

With this, the definition should include, but should not be limited to: "regular missions", Offroad Missions, Firefighter, Stadium Events, and SSA races. There are also others I haven't tested that I think might bring this value up like Pizza Boy or Paramedic. The only downside of this thingy is that maybe this address is irrelevant somehow, but someone would have to prove to me otherwise first.
gimme yo thoughts please
I'll bring my laptop + separate mouse + separate flat 1024x768 monitor + separate keyboard so I can close the lid and actually see what is on the monitor OpieOP . (laptop does include the games I will be running, and the 4:3 monitor is for AoE2 which does not run at 16:9 resolutions.) The laptop comes with VGA and HDMI output so that should be good. I can also bring a fat NTSC PS2 and a component cable for that. I can also bring an S-Video cable for that though I doubt it will be needed since there is component anyway. I could also bring an NTSC GameCube if needed. I can also bring controllers for both consoles.
I saw a few minutes of a CoD1 speedrun and I saw the guy bhopping and wallstrafing, so I tried it in CoD2 as well. Not surprisingly, they were faster than straight-up walking. I made some videos to show just how much faster they are.
Pro: They are both faster (apparently) Cons: It is hard as hell to control bunnyhops, and there are few places where you can wallstrafe for a decent amount of time that I can think of.
Bunnyhopping:
Wallstrafing:
actually, I was hit by a grenade in the wall-strafing example and didn't notice until after I was done editing the video. oh well, it also feels faster anyway so I won't doubt this strat.
hmm, that's a whole lot more arbitrary than just the campaign though. Also you'd rely very heavily on the seed of the map, but I'll think about it.
I think I'd be too much of a "nazi mod" to stick by those moderator guidelines but I'd like to help with general tasks.
I'm pretty sure that means just bring the Deluxo, Sabre Turbo, Hotring Racer, and Sandking to the lighthouse, which sounds kinda silly as you may as well just make a "Complete SSA" objective instead
Just like the thread for GTA3 Bingo but for Vice City bingo. There is already a bingo program from centuries ago, but I and a few others thought it'd be good to add some new things. For example, some could be inspired from the Super SSA race, or something else ridiculous. Post any one of your ideas here!
I don't mod GTA5 anymore but from what I've noticed it takes between a day to 4-5 days, so it definitely won't take a month OneHand
If I understand the situation correctly, I guess making separate categories for each number of players could work.
Edenal, did you get the remaining 290 SEK?
Obviously it's for checking if the time is correct / possible cheating checks in WR runs too, but it all boils down to what the runners/mods think makes sense. Anyway, yeah, "double-check" seems to be more accurate but "verify" serves nearly the same purpose
