Not wanna be rude, but this sounds like a you problem then @PikAsriel
Know your boundaries and seperate emotions from rationalism. I am here heavily limited by the lack of words for this subject, but in therapy it is a common thing to practice setting up reasonable boundaries and protecting your own boundaries while accepting the boundaries of others. I think it was called DBT (Dialectical behavior therapy) where people practice this a lot.
Technically the wrong subforum but yeah. A game that you like and you would like to spend possibly thousands of hours with
Fully aware of the situation of Ketamine and among us, but it really feels like they only made an exception to the rule due to it bringing traffic to the site. Which is frustrating.
Those games are basically the tiddy streamers on src or what
I did not manage to replicate it again while being logged in, but it happens for sure for logged out users.
I marked the second position I saw that ad in with red. (The other position is visible as you can see)
2nd screenshot shows the html for the ad.
We also now seem to have ads directly embedded into the website, as I do get ads despite me using ublock origin. Frustrating. Very very frustrating.
Its fine, some people are just slower when it comes to brain development.
I also agree with the transparency issue. It is a community driven site and they are not approaching it from that angle at all. The first thing they should have gotten was a CM and keep on working with volunteers for now. The cooperate style they are going with is just terrible.
I still do hope that we will get some competition to src in the future, because competition would force them to work on improving the website or attempt to make legal moves. In which case they would lose all the remaining trust the community has in them.
Not only is this not the minecraft leaderboard, this is the introduction section as well.

@Seydie one of the many issues with the current forums. @Sandstorm187 honestly, what do you find appealing about those web games? I legit could never understand anyone who voluntarily speedruns those webgames.
If you already push articles in our face, give us a comment section or something where we can discuss the article.
With the inclusion of the support hub and an easy way to report people, one of the major reasonings behind not allowing a custom flair, perhaps in place of the current pronoun system or somehow else, is gone. (Refering to here: https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/supporthub/report-user )
What are now the reasons as to why we cannot get custom flairs? Is it still the fear of a few individuals abusing it, which can now be easily reported? I might be missing something, but I do not see any major reasons that are preventing it from becoming a thing (except for maybe priorities on what is being added to the site)
I can just second this Liv. There is the common issue of people no longer agreeing on disagreeing in a discussion and sometimes it results in bans in discord communities/speedrunning discords.
I know the priority is super low on the forums, but it would just be nice and it would show that they do care about the community that is on here.
