I don't see the reason of not disallowing ninpo and such. Anything else should be fine. It's just the weapon.

I think what we could do is to make load chapter 2 where you have wooden sword since this is where the actual run starts ?

Timer starts the moment you buy wooden sword. That's also because you are not really doing wooden sword run only if you include chapter 1.

The categories are up and the board is available for accepting the runs, you will recognise what rules to start following. You have an option of running chapter challenge in different difficulties now

Until Further notice:

1. There will be no "No Scythe" category, nor "No 360 Moves" category, etc. This game as for now is fresh and very long, as the infinite karma glitch are gone in MC. We have all the routing opportunities of New Game with/without the collect-athon aspect of grabbing all the scarabs. NG Karma category is available if you want to do that glitch still anyway.
2. The Load Time Removal and the auto-splitter for PC Master Collection will go through each game in order. For now please bear with this run in Real Time.
3. Leaderboards with an abundance of empty categories are not particularly inviting for new players.
4. There will be no new categories/difficulties. Etc. There are already many options available for you to run.

To outline some of our thought processes for the initial categories.

1. Much like Sigma 1, PS3 and PSVita are barely accessible console. The community agreed that the Master Collection runs will be allowed here.
2. The Load Time Removal and the auto-splitter for PC Master Collection will go through each game in order. For now please bear with this run in Real Time.
3. Leaderboards with an abundance of empty categories are not particularly inviting for new players.
4. The IL board is now rehauled. Chapter Challenge moved into a full-run single segment category.
5. PC and Console can compete each other in IL as these are timed by the in-game time.

Until further notice, there will be no new categories as there are already so many options available for you to run.

Going forward, if three different runners can present completed runs such as 100% and Low% we will add them to the board.

Finally, an important change to note about the console players is to double check the rules whether the platform that you are running is compatible with the category or not.

I played it recently and I didn't feel heavy difference, it felt the same as Xbox one BC. I think Karma glitch being gone is a good thing as we are finally going to be able to properly route the game. There is much to be discovered in this game.

For now with master collection runs. There will be a week grace paired between after the release to analysis the 3 games. Only then will major changes happen to leaderbaords.

There is mobile app you can use as self-reference but its not that necessary since I can check the run and verify the time.

But yes like cosmic said, make very sure that you highlight the run itself on twitch. Double check the rules before you attempt a run.

• Renamed Sub-category of Any% as in No Ultimate - Ultimate instead of New Game which makes much more sense.

I would also like to remind every runner here is to be sure that your run includes footage for difficulty choice and result screen.

Whenever you reset, before you start the run again make sure that you show special feature screen selecting the appropriate difficulties/mode as well as end game result screen after you skip the final cutscene.

Not everything is reliant on your SSD. Hardware capabilities also takes into account for having good loads.

PS2 Classic copy is always available on PS3 with American account. You can only access PS3 store (for PSOne/PS2 Classics) with the console itself.

So either you buy and play NSTC version on PS2 or PS3 one digitally which I personally recommend.

Any version is accepted whether its PAL or NTSC.

However, your major disadvantage of running this version is the fact that you can't use Item Duplication trick. This glitch/debug allows you to consistently keep a full stock of necessary items. Therefore, it plays huge role in this game.
