Just like Klashik said, you can speedrun anything you want.

Oooooooh Dishonored. That a really good one. I've seen runs of it, pretty technical if I remember correctly. Boarderlands 2 is also really fun one to run. ArchAge... geez, I played this game before it was known, not sure how you would speedrun it but it would be entertaining if the game is nearly as glitchy as it was when it first came out.

SM64 is alway a good idea because you have tons of runs to play off of. With the top places they tend to use more advanced strats however the lower/est times probably have to many mistakes to know the exact routes. So try some of the middle times for decent strats that you could easily adapt to. Same applies with OoT and DK64.

For PS2... have you play any of the RaC games? I don't know if the list consist of the games that you have for the system, but RaC nonetheless is a great speed game, lot and lots of tricks, skips and glitches.

I don't know a lot about the Xbox games tbh :/

Flushed Away: pretty trick heavy run. Yes, it's a movie based game but it's a really good one. Only 2 people run this game.

Crash Tag Team Racing: The community for this game has been dead for a while. It's not a lack of runners we have because we had like a good 10 people running this. It's the lack of ACTIVE runners, which we have none of.

Toy Story 2: This is a super awesome plateformer with a lot of fun glitches and trick. It's a short any% with only a single person running it. We need more people to run this game please.

Hi there ^.^ I was involved with the routing of this game. It's great to see someone else interested in this game. I could answer your question. The route has not been updated since the WR. Do you have skype? Or should I just tell you the route on here? Last quesiton: which version are you planning on using; N64 or PC?

The game I ran the most was Crash Tag Team Racing. I was actually the founder of that speed run. Now the CTTR community is now very inactive ever since the last WR was achieve and was deemed flawless. I was more a glitch hunter for it because I'm 4th on the leaderboard (But 3rd is 100% free), but I'm far from the best at the game. I found 95% of the tricks and glitches used in the run.

My PB is 30:30 w/o loads. I've done about 800 attempts on the game. 800 may not sound like much but I lost most of my runs during the end game.

I'm taking a huge break from this game. I want a 28 or 27. But ultimately I want a solid 3rd place cuz I want a trophy next to my name. I just need to find the motivation. That and they rerouted the game while I took this break and I never got around to learning it. So I do plan on coming to back to this game I'm just not sure when.

Wow, that's a big arsenal of choices. Do you speed run every game you own?

With glitch hunting just try different combination. However you need to know first what you have to work with. I would try find exploits first and then those can be used to find glitches. If you want to find gliches just mess around. Obviously this varies from game to game. What game are you playing with?

Toy Story 2 Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue (N64) - Super fun to run, the WR is pretty solid but we really need more people to run this game. Flushed Away for GCN - The WR is still super sloppy and we're still finding stuff in this game. Lots of tricks in this run and major shortcuts.

So I was thinking... what if there was some little organized event where speed runners could meet up with other speed runner JUST in their state or region. It wouldn't be like A/SGDQ where speed runners from all over would gather in one spot. You would meet other just in your state or region. I think this would be awesome if I could interact with others that had the same interests. You could discuss the games you run, new routes (if you meet someone with the same speed game), talk about unknown tricks, glitches, mechanics in games and just over all get to know each other.

I'm just curious to see who else speed runs in my state.

This would also keep it from be over whelming like A/SGDQ with thousands of people there.

So just a thought, tell me what you think.

Dude, try playing more main stream games. Then you wouldn't have to worry about routing or finding tricks cuz I know you hate both of those things. Just try going back to SM64 or you could try Gex 2 Gecko undercover? Both are incredible platformers easy to run casually and as you get better you can start doing more complicated tricks. You would also get more viewers I bet.

Speedrunning is fun but from experience after you've been speed running a game a lot you tend to lose appreciation for the game (not say it's a bad game).

When you do going blind into speedrunning, especially if it's a game you're brand to new, always start by making my own routes. I don't use WR routes because more likely than not the person has had more experience with the game and know all the trick and widgets to the game... It's pretty easy when routing a game if you just route it level by level and not skip around. Get to know each level, if you don't have a solid understanding of each route there's a good chance your speed run wont be as solid either. But over all speedrunning is a great hobby (it's definitely the minority of gamers believe it or not) and I have tons of fun doing.

Good luck on your first run whenever that may be!

I personally think that movies creat some of the most entertaing games. Especially when it comes to Speedrunning. I would highly recommend checking out some of them to speed run.

Flushed Away: I run this an I'm looking for more people to run this game (please...)?

Madagascar: This game has one of my favorite OoB mechanics. Out of bounds there is very little ground, so you fall.... but there's a catch... no mater where you are in the level it places you at the very beginning of the level only some weird stuff can happen sometimes.

Robots: Despite the bad jumping I think this would be a very fun game to run if your'e patient.

Rio for the DS: Kappa, it's an on rail rhythm based game.

What are your opinion of games based on movies of TV shows?

So I play a lot different games, most are movie games that I run. I route a lot of games, and I also glitch hunt in lots of games.

I've done a run of Flushed Away - It's a really fun game to run (except the bosses are kind of dumb) But besides the bosses there's a healthy about of tricks. And only two glitches are used in the entire run if I remember correctly. It's all about movement.

I'm a lead glitch finder in Crash Tag Team Racing - Now this run can get pretty technical, especially the mid game. This game was the very first game I ever started speed running. So this game is the reason I speedrun.

I'm also the lead/only glitch hunter in Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to The Rescue - Now this game is worthy to be an incredible speed game. This game is technical, there's tons of tricks and quite a few glitches in each level. The routes are optimized. This game it awesome. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who wants a fun speed game.

I'm currently routing a few games too.

Nicktoons Unite - This is an interesting game. The physics are kind of weird in my opinion.

Robots - If you look past the awful jumping mechanics you'll find that this is a game with speedrunning potential. The routing is kind of hard though because of these power chips things.

Ratitoulle (that Disney movie with the Rat that wants to be a chef) - This game is pretty straight forward... for now. I haven't finished this game yet.

Ice Age 2 - I've put this game on pause just cause but I know it'll be a fun speed game as well.

And Last is one game that I'm doing as a Joke.

Rio - Just cuz

So what games you you speed run? I'm curious. You could also request a game for me too but do me a favor and make it a Nintendo game please. I'll even do handheld Nintendo games too. I just want to be known by more speed runners.

Because the clips are less consistent on console.

So movie games are known for being bad... But there are actually a lot of them that are really good speed games. These include games like Flushed Away, Toy Story 2, and Madagascar. If you want a fun speed game I would highly suggest these games..all of them are filled with awesome short cuts and are of goods length. The longest one currently is Flushed Away which is about 1h:30m. So again I would highly recommend these games.

What movie games do you think are good one because I absolutely adore movie games and I would love to know other good ones.

I personally don't speedrun much I'm more of a glitch/trick hunter.

When I do speedrun it's because I think a game with limits is boring...

If a games limits what you can do then you break those limit and create a whole new style of gameplay for that game almost. But only you can do this, the games isn't gonna hand out unintentional mechanics, you need to find them.

So I have a question... if someone gets 1st, 2nd, or 3rd on a game... Should it be required for them to have a video. No matter how bad it is I think this should be required. Regardless if they have a picture of their splits or not. As my teacher always said "No work no credit"

I'm just saying that I'd love to watch some of these world records... but they don't have videos, so I can't.
