If you run a sonic game you should do sonic cd. Or You could run a crash bandicoot game. Those games are fun to watch, fun to run because of the multitude of tricks and glitches in some of them, and the music ain't too bad if you plan for a longer category.
So what is this documentary gonna be about exactly?
I'm Lance, I'm more of a glitch hunter rather than a speerunner. I've done major glitch hunting in 3 different games, finding huge skips in all of them and drastically lowering the times.
But IRL I memorize movies as a huge hobby (I can recite both Lion King Movies in about an hour, and I have 5 other movie memorized as well) I'm a freshman in collage, it sucks... But I consider myself as a people person and I'm usually the one to start a conversation.
I tell myself how well I'm gonna do (Gotta keep the positive mindset).... and then proceed to cry when everything goes wrong.
Like seriously,,, why isn't it required to have a video for places 1-5? As my teacher always said, "No work, no credit." I personally don't care if there are technically issues. IF you can't record then you can't record. However, I suppose it's up to the community, but I think it should be enforced.
tell me about it with Super Mario 64 DS 150 1st place is a decent 30 minute faster with no video.
Don't be that guy,,, please? Makes you sound like a d-bag.
Hello Hound, I'm Lance. It's awesome when we get people that have been speedrunning and just discovered this site. I personally think it's even awesomer when we get someone who is completely new to speedrunning like yourself. Anyways, great choice of starting games. There are plenty of people that are willing to help you with your speedrunning on this site (sometimes the hardest part is actually contacting them). Have a good day and I look forward to your first run.
5 seconds per load? You know how many games would benefit from 5 second loads? That's not bad. Sonic 06's time would be down by like a year if it had 5 second loads.
But back to your question. Even if a community timed without loads it's not a good idea to cut them out because that could turn to suspicion. No mater how many times you tell someone, you really don't have any proof that your run isn't spliced or anything UNLESS you have those loads.
You need a glitch master? Well that's not me then Kappa . Jk, I'd love to help... What do you even do with this glitch, is it timing? Positioning? Luck? What even is this game for, I've never heard on it.
No offense Battle, but you're being dumb and making something that isn't a big deal a big deal. You are the only person I have ever heard complain about something like this.
If the mods don't care about the whole ordeal than neither should you. The people that have ran the game have been running it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay longer than you have, trust me. If anyone were to make a statement about this in the ts2 community it would be Adam cuz he did all the technical timing for the game, and if he didn't find anything to make a big deal out of then there is obviously no problem.
Battleon1...your are aware that for ts2 the pc and n64 are their own categories right?
@Battlefan1 What if someone didn't have access to the fastest version? Then they could never submit their run because it wasn't on a specific version. Dude you not supporting your argument very well. If a game only allowed runs of the fastest version then that would push people away from speedrunning severely. Who cares if you can actually achieve the fastest time. If you really want to then go and buy the fastest version of the game and leave the categories be.
Well... you know with the leaderboards you can sort them by console? So you can see who has the best time for each console. The thing about splitting them to their own category because PC is good is a dumb reason. It's the same game literally the same game. Doesn't matter if there are different glitches. Also with ts2 there isn't just one category, there's 30 and 40 token. 30 token is for those that play n64 and 40 token is for those that play PC and ps1. And yes for 100% PC is fastest because of all the clips. But I think your argument could use a little more back up.

Hi there, welcome to the community, I'm Lance! I think the GDQ marathons are great. They bring so many more people than I thought. But as Racingmonster said try the Speedrunning and Talk forums. It's a great way to get to know people but if you want to have a decent conversation I would suggest trying to contact the specific person through some sort of messaging. Enjoy your say though ^.^
Yooka-Laylee... since is a successor to Banjo, I expect similar gameplay and design. Dispite me not liking my Wii U that much I hope that this game is super good. Despite anything I'll probably jump right into speedrunning it. I just hope it doesn't get ruined because they want to have the touch pad doing something important.
Hi, I'm Lance! Can I call you Mavid?
I love the army Men games. I use to play Sarges War, I think it's called, all the time with my friends.
Welcome to your new life that is speedrunning :P
