You can run whatever you want, but not everything will be displayed on leaderboards.
What are those? Why no video? Why emulator? Why top time? Why did you do this goober?
Challenge runs =/= new category
One-handed/blindfolded runs aren't shown on leaderboards for example.
It's an unnecessary restriction, and shouldn't be in the rules. It goes against how the category came about. It's almost like the mods are too new to understand why the category exists in the first place.
All user profile speedruns are sorted from top to bottom by most recent. Could you allow each user to have a customized order of which runs are shown in order on their profile?
I've been around for a while and some of my proudest runs are from years ago.
Under the 14 Talisman board, it is stated that Crush skip is not allowed.
It is not faster, but it is not banned. If somebody wanted to skip into Crush back when 14 Talisman was Any%, their run wouldn't be rejected or break any rules. When Gulp skip was found, 14 Talisman was kept and the GULP skip restriction was put on it. This was translated wrong into the rules.
How? My game crashes consistently after the first boss, and I don't feel like it's in my control. Using the most recent Steam version.
Yes. PC/Flash games don't require capture cards and video proof is mandatory.

90 star was actually getting all stars except castle stars and 100c stars, but switches were required as well. i wanna say it was ILoveVark's idea? I did a run of it once but I would never ever expect representation on a leaderboard.
reminder i did an 80 dragons run before i watched cyber do his first spyro trifecta
Every game is different, there's no 1 way to make an autosplitter for every game.
