I've never experienced any sort of bug with missing blueprints in the game on PS1 version. Would this mean it's the safest + more consistent version to run? I wonder what could be causing your problem.
I have not tested slime shooter skip on any version except the PS1 version. I've not heard of any runners having issues with it as well. I don't think a Let's Player would have figured to put Max underneath where the mattress falls.
Pressing R1 and L1 in a weird way do it for me. It also lets you see gadgets with the Cloak when you're in the clock tower in Whoville as well. I don't know why it happens, but it's something I see quite a bit. Side areas are really buggy somehow.
Yeah it's crazy. If I had kept going after my 200 run it wouldn't have been much longer to 300 and even less to 400, and so on. Progress tends to speed up, 200 is the big hump. I personally don't find it useless, as it's the least possible arbitrary thing you can achieve in the game. Every number on the full-game leaderboard is made up by runners, whereas the game signifies these 10 specific bosses as significant/important.

I've always wondered why SMAS gets whored out to all the different boards instead of having its own page. It is its own game.

FDS is an implied feature that is used on all PS1 games unless specified OTHERWISE.
