Oh...This is somewhat similar to Obscure Speedruns Club, where the 'obscure' game got a chance to be in the spotlight. It's a niche community, but it's nice to see something similar to that.
So, we have encountered a little unforseen problem here. One of the level of the game I moderated has, what I described as 'impossible category'. What I mean of this is that it is impossible to even complete that particular category, or categories in this case, for IL run. To give context to the problem: In the leaderboard, there are three main category:
- Any% - Self-explanatory.
- Any% Minigame - Similar to normal Any%, but required to play the minigames once with one exception.
- 100% - Collect all the jewels for the accessories by playing all of the minigames twice with a few exceptions. The problem lies in the fifth and final chapter. It is the only chapter that doesn't have any minigames in it, which means it is impossible to submit a Any% Minigame and 100% run of that chapter in IL leaderboard run. So, can it be removed for this special case, or it is what it is?
Thank you.
However, that if you talked about the PC category. For HD and other SD Consoles, yeah... If you have an xbox 360, you can get a close 1 hour flat run. You can possibly get new WR with new strats we found ever since the last time.
Umm... GhostKir already got a sub 1 hour run on Charming.
Hello, SOS. So, I am a moderator of a game that I cherish the most. So, we decided to add our own custom speedrun.com logo for the leaderboard. However, every single time when I upload the logo, with or without the decoration, the logo ends up too small to be even readable. Me and the other guy are in a pinch here. How to make the site's logo bigger on the site itself?
If I remember correctly, I got into speedrunning because of Shift. His run of Battle for Bikini Bottom on AGDQ 2017 got into my Youtube recommendation, and I was hooked!
I don't know, really. I just find a game that got me interested. I mean, I currently run a 3D platformer game, an extreme sports game, particularly skateboarding, a racing game, and... I don't know how to describe The Runaway Rainbow, my main game.
You gonna need a lot of convincing and luck to got me interested in a game.
I don't know, I felt comfortable using arrow keys than WASD keys. That doesn't mean I don't use the latter combo at all. In fact, I bing them together along with the 'Q' and 'E' keys.
Well, why would I be limited to that? I also a member of this community.
https://www.speedrun.com/stt You might be familiar to this game because of @Ironside_Chris tweet about this game, particularly the hardest difficulty, Grimm.
How about this game? https://www.speedrun.com/mlpcptrr
At first glance, it's quite a linear game, and it is. However, there is a lot of micro optimisation here and there that make the game quite interesting to run. In fact, the optimisation began even before you start the game itself.
We have our own Discord if you want to check out: https://discord.gg/q24K8xFb
I have ran this particular game, My Little Pony Crystal Princess: The Runaway Rainbow (GBA) for over a year now. Ever since I post my run on the leaderboard, my love for this gane hasn't diminished despite how infrequent I play this game. I even got it on OSC this month, despite, admittedly, felt guilty for "cheating" its way to be accepted.
Then, @alecomac came into the scene. Evem though he has just run the game, I see the potential for him. Together, we have made breakthrough for a theory I hypothesise a long time ago.
Then, we take the next step from that evolution and make a Discord server for this game.
Yes, you heard me right! A Discord server! You know this game has been taken seriously when there is a dedicated server to one small, obscure game. Here it is if you don't believe it: https://discord.gg/q24K8xFb
Suffice to say, I am proud to be the runner of this game.
