"We don't have bionic arms we can program to whack..."
If only
I guess we'll just use the honor system.
I'm gonna lose so much hair trying to get a 1 (?) frame input 8 times in a row.
You seem to be misinterpreting my post.
First, guitarjunky I'm not trying to discredit your QS skills. Though, it is a tighter frame window in RE3.
Second, SephJul, you're putting words in my mouth. I used turbo to compete with Yoshi. But if/when turbo is banned, are we to impose rules on video recording? And how would this work with SDA submissions (not that I care about SDA).
I am actually advocating the ban of turbo in my post and that is how you respond? -_-
Hmm, you make some good points. I understand where you come from now. The whole reason I use turbo was because of Yoshi's run. But again, we'd have to ban quick-shots as a whole.
You keep implying that I'm trying to decide for the community alone. If turbo gets banned then so be it. You'd have to ban quick-shooting as a whole. There's no legit way to track if someone is using turbo or not.
I thought this was an open forum? I am stating my opinion.
Turbo posts wow dchaps
Again I have no problem with banning turbo for re1 or re2 or whatever.
I am fine with the use for turbo solely on RE3. Not everyone runs the same games.
If "they" have a problem with turbo, "they" should just say so.
RE3 has always been dead since I've been in the community. Why not add another non-turbo category and see who runs that then?
What other runners?
Ankoku that's your opinion but my original statement still stands.
I speed run RE3 and am fine with use of turbo.
Ankoku, I was commenting on turbo. Obv macro and save states should be banned.
The rules should be defined by those who run the game. I see all these names commenting on how turbo should be banned that I don't even see on the leaderboards (at least for RE3). I am fine with the use of turbo on RE3, the other games I don't care about because I don't run them. You can't impose the same rules for a game just because they are in the same series...
If a level is created ending in % for the leaderboards, it ends up giving a 404 error when trying to view that level. I guess it parses the % as part of the URL rather than discard it like the other symbols.
Viewing orphaned runs is necessary for mods who are making changes to the leaderboards of games. How else might I resort things after making a big change that inadvertently orphans runs
A couple of feature requests.
Rather than default to full game runs, there should be an option to default to the level view in user profiles.
For mods of a game, there should be an option to view orphaned runs.
Thanks.
