I would assume it's because more people still have a Wii compared with the GameCube. People who dont have any of them would probably get a Wii because they can then play both GameCube and Wii games. Only the first Wii model supports GameCube compatibility and it can be softmodded to be region free insteed of importing a GameCube from Japan or hardmodding a European/American GameCube.

You can do whatever you want in the A scenarios to create a B save file as long you're not cheating. You cant use any infinite weapons on the B scenarios for obvious reasons. Thats like the only rule.

Edit: I'm not sure if there is a rule on using costumes or not. In my book this shouldn't be allowed because you cant spawn Brad on your very first playthrough (New Game) and you have to beat the game in order to get the hint about Brad. So when a runner decides to pick up the special key then the run goes straight from NG to NG+. Assuming I'm correct about Brad not spawning on NG.

I've mixed all of the herbs in all of the different combinations and I can confirm that this is BS (I can only speak for Bio2 PC).

Sometimes Livesplit might start up with Compare Against Realtime so either you check that everytime or just click outside the game window and check if the timer pauses when the game is paused.

Caution starts at 100HP. Licker scratch is either 22 or 15 depending on how much HP you have. 200-122 = 22dmg 121-0 = 15dmg

It seems like capcom fucked up here cause it seems like a licker should start to do 15dmg at 122HP to prevent you to go down to caution.

Reloading with the elevator glitch has been done before and is probably the fastest way.

I havn't seen that Claire B strat before, is it consistant? It seems like it would be around 2 seconds slower at a minimum (1 shot + extra turning for the 2nd item box). Since the 2nd floor is the biggest run killer on Claire B I think this is a great strat to prevent resets and those 2 seconds can be gained elsewhere in the scenario. Like Mr X dodge before train Kappa

RE2 (PC) runs are usually tricky to make side by side videos because RTA can differ by alot. Difference between our runs are: 12 seconds in RTA and 3 seconds in IGT.

Just to make it clear, 1 second in IGT is NOT 4 seconds in RTA. Difference between IGT and RTA isnt static because it differs depending on what hardware you use to run the game. In short the framerate is more consistent on some computers then others. Luckily IGT isn't affected by this, only RTA.

I did some framecouting of the run afterwards and the big mistakes added up to almost 12 seconds in total. Since the time has gotten so low a "big" mistake would be like 0.5-1 second.

PAL 50Hz is banned on RE2. If the moderator is also moderating RE2 then maybe he accidentally went by the RE2 rules.

RE2 is a good game to start with when it comes to speedrunning. Try not to reset too much in the beginning and skip the doors after 3 seconds =)

Also you can download the All Doors one and just delete the numbered splits.

and you're making the claim that Supergamer used a macro so its up to you to provide evidence for it not the other way around. The gas station puzzle has been refuted.

No it is not. The reason why this is allowed is because you can set this up in the games own settings without using a 3rd party program.

Anything that can be done within the game it self is generally accepted in speedrunning.

Macro and Turbo are not OK
