To what extent are you allowed to set up your B scenario file for run attempts? Certain things will change such as Croc/Marvin being dead, the cord closing shutters, etc etc. What is and isnt allowed?

Secondly, would anyone be a pal and point me to a good Leon B run that has commentary explaining their reasons for doing things/tips? Cant seem to find one and it sucks lol. Thanks!

am a huge fan of Carcinogen and his knowledge of all the scenarios is unbelievable, especially Leon B! Enjoy watching this one, it's a really fun one!

(carcinogen wasted a bit of time to get a fancy costume, but follow his tips and don't do a costume route becuase it's just a waste of time)

You can do whatever you want in the A scenarios to create a B save file as long you're not cheating. You cant use any infinite weapons on the B scenarios for obvious reasons. Thats like the only rule.

Edit: I'm not sure if there is a rule on using costumes or not. In my book this shouldn't be allowed because you cant spawn Brad on your very first playthrough (New Game) and you have to beat the game in order to get the hint about Brad. So when a runner decides to pick up the special key then the run goes straight from NG to NG+. Assuming I'm correct about Brad not spawning on NG.

Brad spawns on NG, but most people on their first playthrough don't know how he spawns so he's never there.

Yea Brad spawns on NG. I don't have a preference for if costume switch is allowed or not, I personally don't do it except for unlocking 4th Survivor/Tofu (I may have read misinformation once that stuck with me, it said at least one outfit change was required to help unlock those lol).

I was just curious about stuff like shutters, Marvin, and the Croc bc various runs I see will have a mix of all 3, and I was thinking if people were gunning for records they'd want as smooth a run as possible so I didn't get leaving Marvin alive and risking getting bit. Lol. Thanks for the help guys

Keeping marvin alive is pretty essential. Killing him makes the zombie spawns in that room terrible.

Didn't know he had any effect on that, bc honestly until lately I've always killed Marvin in A hahaha. Only reason he lives now is due to speedrunning, so go him ;)
