At least three of the mods have been offline on SR.com for more than a month, with at least one of them having been offline for four months. A fourth mod has been offline for three weeks and the remaining two have logged in within the past few hours. It could be time to start thinking about changing the mod roster so that runs can get looked at. I don't think it's cool to have a dude wait several months to get his run verified.

I think moderators of a game should have at least one run on the board.
-
I think when decisions need to be made regarding a game's categories or rules, a good moderator would run that by the community before making any kind of change.

Ideally, moderators would have decent people skills and know how to interact with their peers without being demeaning or dismissive.
Just one man's opinion.
A little too much hostility towards the guy who asked the question IMO.
Encouraged but not required. If you make an account on both sites and then submit your run to both, it's less work for the moderators. They'll want to make sure the two boards are as mirrored as possible for maximum accuracy. If you only submit to one site or the other, they'll verify your run and then submit it to the other on your behalf. You'd be doing them a favor by doing both submissions on your own.
I think the general consensus is that if it uses meter, it's fair game. If you guys want to make it official and put that in the rules, I'm down. Also, if you wanna have a talk about whether or not we want to make changes to the rules, I'm ready to hear anyone out.
I would like to see a board for Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and I'll add a run to it when it's up.
Having a timer on-screen is nice but it isn't mandatory. If anyone wanted to know what your run's time was, they could just check the length of the VOD. There's probably some browser timers you could use if you're able to window capture them. Google would link a bunch to you, I'd imagine. Record your run and submit it here or on www.megamanleaderboards.net to have it verified by one of the many moderators who oversee such things. Once your run is verified on one site, it'll be copied to the other and your PB will show up on both.
Scroll up, young Champion. Your journey begins north of this post.
You have to run the gauntlet. Y'all already know what it is.
There are strict rules for becoming a moderator here. You have to vanquish the other mods in a trial by combat. Best of seven series - Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Mighty, Ray, Sonic & Tails, and Encore Mode: it's you vs. seven mods and you must complete the runs in one sitting. If you finish before they do, you are worthy of mod status. If you can't beat them, you forfeit the patents to your ideas for category extensions and the rest of the moderators profit off them, plus you do all the rest of your streams for the year in a Tails onesie. Are you prepared for this?
It definitely is dead time in a run to sit and watch the credits after each cup but I'm personally indifferent at the moment. Either way is fine with me, skip it or don't.
Even if Pentaleks is being dumb, you really shouldn't be deleting his posts. That crosses into shady territory that I think should be avoided whenever possible. When threads like this are made and the rest of us can't go back and look at the evidence because it's been deleted, it really doesn't help. If you're sure Pentaleks is in the wrong, let his posts show it. Otherwise it might look to some people like you've got something to hide and you don't want that.
If the replay feature can be used to cheat somehow, it shouldn't be allowed for any submissions. To do otherwise feels like an insult to those of us who don't have top times, as if to say we don't matter. I prefer to be held to the same standards as everyone else.
It's up to you, Raikou. It's time for you to clean up the in-game leaderboards. You knew this day was coming. Get to work, boi.
To be fair though, Buster Only is an example of a category that exists here but only has two runs for SNES and one run for Emu/VC. I don't think anyone's gonna run Dashless Any%/100% but I think if Buster Only can exist off that number of runs, that same number should be a qualifier for Dashless.

I have no reason to think there'd be an issue with any controller you'd want to use. Go nuts.

Pick someone with a ton of armor and just ram the crap out of everybody.

No one's wanted to do them yet. We can add them if people want though.
