But what if my physical version is updated to 1.3.0? The would it be the same? Because I got confused about first moon skip and stuff like that because I saw that the wr doesn't use it, but I checked the rules and it wasn't banned because it doesn't matter since 1.3.0 is faster anyway. My physical copy is updated to 1.3.0, so would that work? Also, sorry for all the questions, I'm new to the community.
Don’t worry about it. It wasn’t a popular category with only 2 runs, and I’ve been doing any%, it would be a bigger deal if I got a higher time there anyways. Thanks though.
I'm having trouble with the gauntlet skip in level 1. I can do it and it's in my PB, but it's not very consistent. I'm tired of resetting in level one because of it so I was wondering if anyone has any tips?
I have no idea if anyone noticed, but the timer's last digits can only be 0, 1, 4, and 7. An example would be that a time of 21.39 does not exist (this is a random number by the way). My idea is that the game rounds it weirdly like if you get a .2, it round to .1, and if you get a .3 or .5 it goes to .4, .6 and .8 go to .7 and .9 goes to .0. I think that for individual levels, there should be a category for IGT, and RTA separately because of these timer differences and other small factors.
I got a new world reord for 75 star by a lot, but I can't find the catagory, it seems to have been removed and I was wondeing why
I think they’re capable. There’s a new carpet less route being talked about.
What does the timer need to start on? I tried -2.70 but my splits seem inaccurate. Also, is there something on livesplit to round my splits to the framerule if I miss a split by a few milliseconds? because this also happens quite often.
I submitted a world record run for 75 star l a few weeks ago, and its not verified yet. It also hasnt been rejected either. Its past the time that the submission said it would take to verify, and i was wondering if no one saw it. I know most mods dont like being asked questions on when runs will be verified, but it said 1-3 weeks and its past 3 weeks.
Im pretty sure that if only 1 frame is saved in 8 4 it would become barely a 4 53
I have an idea for 70 star no wing cap because in advanced 70 star, there is only 2 stars that require wing cap so routing could be island hop, instead of the wing cap star itself, you do CCM 18 and double pless, and then for the log star in lll, do the 16 star strat
In the TAS, the route is a little weird, it skips CCM 100, and does the slide normally. It replaces the penquin race with doing pillarless twice like usual, then replaces the 100 coin star itself, with toxic maze in HMC. Speaking of HMC, it does HMC early, and replaces the second mips with wigler's reds in THI. I noticed that we enter HMC after upstairs, and grab the second mips star instead of wigler's reds, and because we are more tightly bound to the 30 star requirement, we have to get CCM 100. If the TAS does it then is is no doubt faster, but it doesn't seem like that difficult of a change, and so I wanted to know why our route is different? It's not like the TAS does some TAS only trick for the replacement stars, and entering DDD from HMC offers a faster entry to DDD because we can use the vanish cap door. I think we should use this early HMC route, but I want to know why we don't. Again, it doesn't seem like that difficult of a routing change.
this should explain it better.

ill get a better video soon
After school, If I have enough time, I will make an explanation video/video of me getting it like 10 times in a row or something because it's very consistent for me
I have gotten it very consistently, and I do it in runs And it's not pixel perfect, as long as you open the door from the relative center you are lined up. I look at if Mario is lined up with the center row of squares at the beginning of the room
