You've gotta have quite a bit of community experience (all of the moderators have been speedrunning these games for years). There's also the fact that there are more than enough moderators at the moment - there were recently 2 verifiers added to keep up with the number of runs being submitted. I doubt there will be any further mod additions for quite a while.

It's fine for the In Browser category becasue it's the unity version of the game. However, as far as I'm aware, the IL categories are all flash only.

If you're on browser, you may not be logged in to Kong / you've cleared cookies / not have flash allowed to store data on your pc.

If you're on steam, you can make backups of the save file in your steam userdata folder, but it shouldn't be wiping it.

If you're still using the kongregate version of the game like in your 4M pb, try running on steam and see if that fixes your issue.

Do you have max bonus? Are you using fast forward (press f after buying time warp from the black market)?

@BraadyH I have added (potentially temporary) categories for Payload and Classic mode under Misc. Feel free to submit runs and we will monitor how they go.

In general, the use of Time Warp, Extended Upgrades, and Extra Items are allowed. Cheat Options are not to be used in any runs. The Special Powers (Earninator, Floatifier, and Speedifier) are also not allowed to be used in any runs.

For No Bonus only, the use of ALL Black Market items is banned.

For Max Bonus only, you are allowed to make use of any Black Market items you have purchased using Sardines earned on that save file. Note that paying for Sardines is not allowed as this would give an unfair advantage to those willing to pay. Also of note is that purchasing Extended Upgrades is a prerequisite for achieving Max Bonus, and thus will have to be purchased with earned Sardines.

Yes you are! It is very much recommended since it'll reduce lag quite a bit (from not having to render web elements).

I’m heavily involved in many flash game communities (Learn to Fly, Duck Life, and others). As long as the game is substantial enough to warrant speedrunning it should be fine.

That being said, You Have to Burn the Rope is a rather popular speedgame where the only category is under 30 seconds long.

It depends on when the mods are on and how many runs are waiting to be verified. Sometimes there’s a backlog of runs that need to be worked through which can take a while.

Just make sure it’s actually in your pending actions, and if it still isn’t verified in another week or two I’d ask a mod in the discord server.

Bit late, but just to document my understanding @TheMPKev :

1 - I assume +100. 2 - Yes. Everything. But if I recall correctly, Max Bonus was originally intended to start from a fresh save file though. So you would only be able to use Black Market items that you buy with sardines earned through gameplay. Noone really played the category though so I'm not sure what the actual rules are. 3 - No. 4 - No.

Sounds like a good idea to me personally. To keep it consistent though, maybe have every world start and finish at the same time. Starting would probably be set similar to other games; open the menu on a world screen and timing starts when you close it. Ending would be after the last tournament race either when you cross the flag (my RTA split times just because it makes menuing easier) or when the race ends (the technical end of the world). Another issue would be how much difference there are between each IL (a glitchless running is 30 minutes, but a glitched flying could be around 6) but that doesn't really matter since running the categories is choice anyway. I would like to see this implemented though.

Option 1 feels the most "pure" to me, but Option 3 I feel would be easier for most people to work with (they still don't need to import other versions or record runs). Option 2 to me feels like an awkward middle ground where people are forced record runs even though the version of the game doesn't matter (if that makes sense?)
