Just want to post this reminder as I've seen a few runners submitting runs that start/end at unclear times without posting timestamps (such as when you submit the same all ores video to all ores and diamond only)
Please submit timestamps if the start/end of your run is unclear so we can get through the runs faster :)
I can use a keyboard or controller on Console
I can use a keyboard or controller on PC
So I can use a keyboard or controller on Mobile Kappa
Edit: Can’t believe I forgot about this category, but you can already run not building a portal, but entering the nether
@CribleyGames Isn’t that just the Any% route but shorter? We’re swamped with categories atm so I’m personally a bit apprehensive about adding categories that sorta kinda already exist.
I can’t speak much about the situation, I’m leaving this to the other mods/verifiers, but you can rest assured that we wouldn’t delete any runs. At the very least we’d archive them on our own site or in a forum thread.
It should be fine as long as the video is watchable
That's not the point now, is it. The point is that it's an "unfair" competition if a version at some point is allowed, but not at a later time. Especially if that version gives an advantage, as some of the beta-versions clearly do.
I was just joking about the number of categories we have :P
I wouldnt mind offloading some to a different site though
Make your own spreadsheet. Hell I’ll even set up a site for it if you want, but please dear lord no more categories
We have evidence that it was you. I’m not going to discuss drama here.
Having volunteers help retime could be an interesting idea to explore. I can bring it up with the other mods/verifers and see what they say.
With all that being said, its been agreed that from now on, having submit the run or not, you will be required to show both perspectives in all future cooperative submissions to both leaderboards.
It's not about submitting or not. It's about the fact that you tried to deceive the community.
that is why we said in the title that we cheated, to make sure there was no deception.
To quote your original video:
And yes guys I just want to confirm that this is actually legit I did not cheat on this whatsoever. The reason why my video is not able present there is because it failed to process
You also claimed it failed to process due to poor internet speeds. After asking you why processing or even internet speeds in general would have any affect on recording a run, you claimed that you used an online screen recorder when you clearly used the built in recorder on your phone.
Also to end off this post I just want to say the following. I know at the end of the day you're just a human and all humans make mistakes, but if you want to be taken seriously by this community you need to earn it. You insulted runners and moderators before spam pinging everyone on the discord because you got upset over the rules, then proceeded to post a fake run and claim it was legit, before finally spamming my youtube videos with dislikes and submitting fake runs to the leaderboards to advertise your videos. I'm all for putting this behind us but you need to start acting more mature.
Honestly man, I don't think we're even asking much of you at all. We just ask that from now on you show both perspectives for cooperative runs which you already were doing for your submissions
If we would time with in game time, I think the only difference would be removing load screens, and I don't think anyone has load screens long enough to actually be able to practice on a second device or something.
I’m for it in the sense that it would have made sense to have been in the rules originally, but if we implement it now that means retiming years worth of runs. (We’d need to retime obsolete runs too)
RULES UPDATED
Changes:
- Runners may now spend a longer duration of time waiting for the world to load
Outside drift isnt really suffering tho
Outside drift does not stop you from taking tight turns nor does it make it difficult
Inside drift is already easy
