Mango Man Today at 11:15 AM I want you to admit that you cheated
ShiGame Today at 11:15 AM I ALREADY DID"
Case Closed.
@ShiGame, It has recently come to our attention that you have released a YouTube video claiming to have achieved a falsified World Record in the All Woods Cooperative category for the category extensions. In this video your attitude makes it quite clear that you intend to cheat to make a point. That being said, on the run that you do get the record you said the following:
And yes guys I just want to confirm that this is actually legit I did not cheat on this whatsoever. The reason why my video is not able present there is because it failed to process
You then later claim that this is due to bad internet as many family members were using the internet at the time. If you were unable to process the video however, how did you upload the video we are currently watching? This combined with the different excuse later on in the video and the fact that you are seen standing still for the first 20 seconds of the run is enough proof in our minds to deduce that this is a falsified run.
With all that being said, its been agreed that from now on, having submit the run or not, you will be required to show both perspectives in all future cooperative submissions to both leaderboards. The community has also investigated the claim that you found a new acacia tree closer to spawn and has not found anything, so we recommend that you share the coordinates of the acacia.
If you have any objections to this, feel free to reply to this thread or message a moderator on discord.
@Sharks332 You obviously played a role in this situation as you provided the only perspective available in the run. There is no doubt by the community your part of the run was legit, but one must consider your role in the production of a falsified run. We have DM'd you on discord regarding the run.
Well its the pocket edition of the game, and you're not using any banned input methods, so I dont see why it would be illegal
Different runners do their runs differently. That being said I don't think anyone would play using mirrored display on the PC as from my experience there is a very noticeable delay.
@cefe_origol as per the rules:
Set Seed
- You must manually input the world seed
- The inputting of the world seed must be visible in the video

* Don't try to be cheeky with regards to the rules unless you want your run rejected
Also to answer the question
What do I do if a know if a run is accepted and verified, but it is not suppose to be verified?
DM a moderator
RULES UPDATED
Changes:
- Full game runs no longer use millisecond timing unless a tie takes place
- Individual level runs only time to 2 decimal places
As far as the layout goes, besides Any% Glitchless being the default main category, the only real difference I see is the fact that versions are a subcategory as opposed to a variable. Personally I don't think changing that would be a good idea as it would mean having yet another layer of subcategories over what we already have.
How feasible would it be to allow verifiers to change the time of a run without needing to resubmit it? On a small scale it's not much of an issue, but when I get 20+ runs to verify a day, It can be quite frustrating to retime a run and need to resubmit it before I can verify it.
I also changed "Co-op" to Cooperative. No real reason for it other than the fact that it looks more "official"
The following rules are currently being discussed:
- Allowing runners to spend a longer duration of time waiting for the world to load
- Removing milliseconds from full game runs
- Using only 2 decimals for IL runs

my pc is kinda bad so the encoder of obs lags for 10 seconds when creating a world

For the first suggestion, well honestly the runs are just too long to make milliseconds matter
All they do is give verifiers 10x more work and make the times of runs harder to read
This also means your runs may take longer to be verified
As for ILs, the 3rd decimal is always going to be the same unless you record at a different frame rate, so if the runs are tied which could happened with something like get cake set seed, then one guy might have a faster time because of the framerate he recorded at
If you have come here to ask "is xyz" allowed, then please read both the rules and the FAQ thread. If you cannot find anything disallowing xyz, then it is allowed
After being granted temporary moderator permissions, I updated the rules to use markdown as well as making a few changes to the rules such as requiring runners to include the timestamp at which the runs starts if the provided video is substantially longer than the run itself. So with that being said I recommend you all read the rules as some new ones have been added, and maybe you just missed something before (assuming you even read the rules Kappa)
Feel free to reply to this thread with any criticisms or suggestions regarding the rules.
The following rules are currently being discussed: Nothing!
Sorry about the confusion, rules appear to have been updated.
It’s not even a challenge, chances are it would be legit. I would admit I’m biased as I come from a community that uses the honor system, but this is a likely legit run for a category extension.
Locking this thread, if you want to discuss you can ping me on discord.
Mario Kart 64, DS, and 8 in my quest to get top 10 on the combined mario kart rankings (http://www.mariokart64.com/combinedranks)
and Super Mario Galaxy because that games awesome
Also gonna ban the boost in classic mode while I'm at it
The 3DS game seems to be quite deceiving. Its named Timberman but is a port of Timberman VS. I'll add it as a platform here for the classic mode and talk to the VS mods about adding it on that leaderboard.
