Make a new rule?

Some rng has been pretty suspicious recently, such as @Battlecats59 14:11 all bosses ssg run. He killed what I believe is 7 withers skeletons for all 3 skulls only using looting 2 and got all 3 in a row, the chance of which is incredibly low. So maybe would it be smart to enforce a rule to show behavior packs or other open apps or something?

I can see where you're coming from, and I can discuss it with the other mods, but I'm against it for a few reasons.

  1. If the player can change the RNG through datapacks and whatnot, they can probably easily fake not having them, since splicing that is trivial

  2. It is not really necessary for the vast majority of runs

  3. It adds an additional rule that people need to follow. It's already common for runners to not read the rules and have their runs rejected over minor things like not disabling starting map, so adding this as a rule would likely just result in having a large increase in legitimate rejected runs because you can never trust a runner to read the rules

Almost everything in the whole Minecraft speedrun is RNG based and people reset because of that over and over untill they get what they are looking for, so just because of one run that is "lucky" and probably took many attempts to get we should change the rules?Honestly, I think that's just silly.

im not saying its fake, Battlecats is a very trusted runner, but I was just putting out an example.

Only reason a run would be very sus is if a runner gets consistently good rng, not good rng in just one run. Making runners show behavior packs on every single run would just be inconvenient and pointless.

The thing is for ssg, you can reset and have the same seed if you dont get good rng.

The answer is literally in the post. He used Looting 2 which increases drop rates

@GoldGamer32 yeah but even then it is good pretty RNG. It's about a 6% chance as Asdapath said. Not saying the run is fake btw.

It took a heck ton of resets but it was just insane RNG, which I usually don't get. I don't agree with this new rule because many new runners would not follow this rule, and I use behavior packs for TAS runs (tool-assisted speedrun, which aren't allowed on the leaderboard) so showing behavior packs wouldn't really do anything, and plus if a behavior pack was used in a run, it would be shown turning on in world generation (although this can be spliced).

Wait what new rule?

Ohh and btw willthethrill global yesterday got 2 wither skulls in a row without looting so that rng that Battlecats59 got is not that rare compared to global wither skull luck yesterday

Portugal

Ohh sorry for another comment but Battlecats59 is a mod it would be pretty stupid to fake a run just for one WR don’t u think

Ireland

Nobody thinks that.

I would find it pretty stupid for a mod to fake a run.

New proof rules for top level runs

Hello Runners.

We have a new rule for all platforms, for random seed runs.

After completing a Top Run (Top 5 Main Category/1st ILs), you must exit the world and go to the main menu.

For top Windows runners, you still have to do PowerShell verification.

For Ps4/Ps5, this rule
