new category idea
United States

so i was bored yesterday and came up with a new category idea. basically it's just beating the level without grabbing any items or objects (guns, tables, barrels, bodies, etc.) i feel like it puts a unique skill floor down due to the fact that you have to figure out movement tricks and/or glitches without the use of objects that can boost you.

idk if this would fit into a full game run or per-level speedrun type, so please lmk your opinion in the replies :)

and of course, here's a video of me attempting the run on sandbox 1:

(also ignore the ad in the background, i can't be bothered to pay for spotify premium lol)

most gunless routes abide by this already except for the grabless element on some levels. calling it "grabless" could be something interesting to look into for category extensions but you'll find that it'll change maybe like two levels (esc2 and esc3) from their gunless counterparts. if you're talking ILs, maybe include sb1 and esc1 in that mix. not being able to grab doors sounds painful though lol

Would esc2 even be possible?

i was looking into it last night and have yet to find a way lol. i would assume all levels would have to be beatable in some way to be accepted as a category, so i'll keep looking into ways to beat it (without dc of course lol)

England

escape 2 is possible, just go to a corner
