For example, my favorite would be Mini Colors. It's nice and short, it has some short ILs, which are pretty hard, and I would say it (speedrun mode) would be the world record I worked the hardest on.
ape escape as i like the game and the movement is fun and it has a nice ammount of glitches, not too many not too few
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild. It has a lot of cool tricks and optimizations, and it creates for a cool speedrunning experience.
4-D Warriors is probably my favorite because I am weirdly good at it for some reason. I just love the controls and also the game in general. It's one of those really good 1980s SEGA titles. It's the only [difficult to achieve] maxed out scores I've ever gotten on an arcade game [999,999]. Took me around an hour and a half.
I also love SM64 even though it's really difficult. I love 1 star runs, I want to accomplish all the 1 star runs of Sm64 romhacks. Something oddly satisfying about rushing through an entire Sm64 game in under 2 minutes. Plus, I love those types of broken nav mesh glitches.
I was supposed to only pick one game but ... also fighting games in general are amazing to speedrun because all the RNG. You have to learn all these backup strats and button mashing stuff it's really fun.
Also, literally any sega genesis sonic hack.
Currently ROBLOX: Mount Everest Climbing Roleplay. But I’m getting stuff set up for Minecraft and other games just my files are messing up so once I do that it will probs be minecraft
The ninja 4 hacked, laser arena currently are the ones Im the best at, although Im still pretty bad at laser arena compared to @Fioresa
Mobility is by far my favorite game to run. The movement is intuitive and satisfying, and the skill ceiling is really high so I'm always able to improve. I've been running this game for close to 4 years now and I still find it fun to play, although I haven't done serious world record attempts since 2021. There's a new update for the game that will release soontm, so I'll probably run it some more when that's out.
My personal favorite is Need For Speed Underground. Cause, I did Speed Runs for that game a very long time ago. But, I am coming back to do more in the future. It is going to happen. And, I want to do some Midnight Club III: Dub Edition. But, if any of you great people want to check my runs so far, my username is @SpeedRunFan2022
World of Guns. Each weapon is complicated in its own way and has three different game modes that force the player to create three different strategies to achieve the best time. The game is just great and "relaxing"
