What do you think will be the categories for NG+ speedruns? Will it be sorted by difficulty in game?
re2r dint have inferno difficulty tho so in this games case i can see a point to 2 ng+ categories
Yeah all depends on what the mods decide and if there is an interest in certain runs. but would prob be assisted and inferno then since hardcore is not that much different. but from what i hear from inferno it could be quite the trip even with ng+ weapons
I think this game brings a lot more to NG+ runs than RE2 did (Which was basically just infinite ammo) So if anything I would assume it would be seperated Infinite Ammo and NG+
Should have Assisted Standard Hardcore Nightmare Inferno Ng+ with those as sub with maybe rocket launcher allowed or not allowed
Knife only (to be really tested donno if it can work seeing as nem has to climb on things.)

I don’t like the 60 and 120 frames plays tho I don’t have a 120hz monitor but I guess ppl might want it
No health items run maybe
No continue runs (don’t die)
No mods (skins yes )

Consoles on same category and maybe pros and Xbox one X on another together since run higher frames or possibly
Pc on their own for obvious reasons (high frames and keyboard and mouse so much faster)
Wonder if their will be a igt mod to display what the games time is for all to see could be a requirement but only the end result is allowed

Any% (if we find any fun oob strats etc.), All difficulties% (Standard%, Inferno% etc.), Low% (Knife only and railgun nem3) as main categories.
Ng+ on extended page 60 & Variabel Coins + rifle%, Dogger%, Rocket launcher% (True Any%) All on Assisted bec its faster
PC/Console Assisted/Standard/Hardcore/Nightmare/Inferno 60/Variable Any%/Low% NG/NG+
This is what we have to work with right? 120 will probably be added since RE2R has it so I won't even bother arguing against it.

I kinda agree with @NuZ just i wouldn't put a category with pieces, just because it's part of the any% assisted. You can take rocket launcher only to be faster on box and no need to get more inventory spaces. Or get 2 pieces of attack to get Nemesis 2 in 3 rockets instead of 4, health/guide for safer runs etc.. I don't think it needs a category itself. Other than that i totally agree, 60fps will have huge ton of runners and 120 will get best times.
Yeah i don't see no problems with a 60fps if the route is the same as 120. But i'm interested in listening people who are in favor of the 120fps thing.
The reason for 120 was the knife in re2. Now unless there is something else i dont see the point of having this same 120 fps cap.
I imagine the categories will be the same: New game (PC) New Game + (PC) Any % (PC) New Game (Console) New Game + (Console) Any % (Console)
I agree with Chris Hylands, there is no point for lots of NG+ categories, I believe in a geral one and one for infernal difficulty
