They removed the playtest, and in demo version you can't freely pick up a character and just go at it, instead there is progression now. Just got into this a day ago rip.
There is a freeplay mode where you can freely pick the weapon. I think the physics are slightly different, but are fine. I just don't know what the mods will do. I think most likely runs will still be on here
mcwonderbeast in the discord said this. I honestly dont know what to do for right now, so we might have to pause these runs and this entire playtest section, because well, to put it bluntly.
You cant really submit runs for the playtest if it doesnt exist anymore..
Found a way to access the playtest still, IF you havent uninstalled the playtest yet, you can just go to the local files and run the EXE and it'll work
Still, it's limited as hell to do, and only allows people WITH the playtest to run the game. Talking with McWonderBeast to see if they can fix this cause it not only ruins this place but also the other halfsword speedruns
We are fully aware of the new game update, and I have some positive news to share. I'm currently talking with the devs and mods, and my plan is to rebrand this place into the OFFICIAL Half-Sword Speedrun site.
I will NOT lie to you guys, this WILL take a few weeks to get set
