Hi! I recently got into speedrunning too. I started with Minecraft because I got inspired after watching a bunch of Twitch streams. I decided to give it a shot, and Minecraft seemed like the perfect first game for speedrunning since I had already spent so many hours playing it. I was familiar with all the core mechanics, but it’s still been a fun experience even though you really need some luck with the spawn.
