HI! My name's JayBee, but go by Mooguri. I'm from the Bay Area of California.
I've been watching GDQ streams since 2014 & I've always wanted to go to a SpeedRun event. When I went to an anime convention (AOD 2017) last weekend, Californathon (a 3 day speedruning event for charity) was there. I hung out and got to meet some speed runners and event staff & being there live gave me the courage to give up what little life I have to speed running.
My main games are Monster Hunter series, StarCraft 2, HearthStone, & Payday 2. I play MH & PD2 well enough to be able to beat the stages fast, but I want to speedrun a game that has a large level rather than quests/heists. So, I decided on learning Zelda; ALTTP as my first speed run game.
Other games I'd like to get into in the future would be SM64 & Zelda: OoT, but I'm scared right now to speed run a 3D game.
I look forward to learning from other speed runners & to hopefully one day be able to play/commentate at a speed running events.

@superspyro, I'll go ahead and look at some beginning tutorials for Mario 64 and OoT and see which one to start with. Which game and run do you think is a good one to start at?
