I do full-game runs and generally play this game a lot, but I've recently been turning to ILs and seeing what I can do there (mainly to improve my full-game runs). Considering the times I've seen even for the simplest race, AL Car (low 54 on SRC but I've seen a 53 on Cyberscore), I'm curious as to how these were even attained as I've only managed a high 56 myself. Naturally it's a huge pain to record DS gameplay (and nobody even plays this game so this won't be seen) but it'd be so useful to just... see what I'm doing wrong. If any of the top IL time holders are reading this, is there anything in particular you did for your runs?

Nowadays, I'm one of the lucky ones to have a DS capture card. Someday, I'd love to actually get a bit more involved and get some good times.

Been a while since I've played this game, but for car times, there's a trick called the ABR trick. If you hold A + B while drifting (in a certain angle I believe) you go alot faster than regular drifting.

So I went ahead and made a video where you can see this trick in action and actually tied my PB while recording

You need to watch closely when the lights on the back of the car turn on, thats when B is added to the drift.

In somewhat of a collaboration with the DKR64 SRC team, the level leaderboards have been totally restructured, so that the "categories" for each track are now the race mode (Time Trial, Single Race or Coin Challenge) rather than the vehicle. This has allowed for the number of redundant categories to
