this "community" has been extremely biased towards cyber ever since morse rejected cyber for the first time. morse has lied time and time again. all anyone needs to know the truth is to look at cybers twitter. if you refuse. a great example is morse has stated that he rejected only one of cybers runs on his own. when in reality we have logs of him rejecting at least 15 individual runs on HIS OWN. this community is in shambles and for people to try and place blame on us for beinn rude and for being assholes. well its safe to say it needed to happen. everything with these leaderboards is skewed and fucked. you hate cyber for running on pc with framerate switching yet other consoles are objectively slower than other platforms and refuse to ban people for running on faster consoles or on slower consoles. IN REALITY a speedrun is about beating the game as quickly as possible. so therefore the only platforms for a game that matter is the original cause its the original and the fastest cause its the fastest. DOES ANYONE honestly get so much in a tizzy for someone using their own strategies to try and beat a game as quicjly as possible? do u know how moronic and stupid that is? . to point fingers at cyber at me and any of his supporters is disgustingly wrong becuase everyone from the orginal leaderboard is biased beyond belief. it needs to be fixed and it needs to stop.

Yeah i did reject cyber's runs, but you misunderstood when i said "one time". All of those runs (new and old ones) weren't respecting the rule about FPS swapping in SS, that's why i rejected it in one fell swoop. I didn't do it on my own, i talked to the RE4 people about that before.
However, it was clearly not appropriate to reject cyber's run before the final change on the board is being made (removing all MS runs etc), i should have waited.
In case you don't know, we've been going through a lot of discussion concerning the board, concerning MS/SS, difficulties, FPS change etc in order to clear that board a little bit.
Then after, we created a category "Save and quit" in order to legitimate his runs and make it appear on the board, so it's time by RTA. But he wasn't agreeing with that name, and wanted to rather be called any% for only new game easy and be put on the main board.
Anyway, Walker is now in charge as well as Ryan, so just wait.
respecting rules is bullshit. beating the game as fast as possible is the definition of a speedrun
If you don't respect rules then don't harass the board on what is considered categories or proper guidelines. If you don't go by the guidelines then don't submit it. Play it as fast as you want just do your own thing and don't get others involved in stupid shenanigans.
Sure pratrick, just play Any% as it's the main thing and the fastest way of beating the game, i get it.
However, there are other categories and as far as we've been running RE4, Any % has never been a thing, we just assumed ng + was the fastest way to beat the game. Yeah we do use a loaded file and but this is the same as new game: We start at the beginning.
NG+ Easy swapping framerate is the fastest way of beating this game, no rule, right? Stirling even has 1:17 (which is currently the fastest SS run ever made)
