Does it matter if you get an incorrect time especially on mobile cause you to go back and forth on tabs
i have a similar issue bc i play on mac, and livesplit isn't compatible with macos. what i do is, i take my speedrun footage, then in editing, i add in a recording of the timer from https://one.livesplit.org/ just running, and instead of stopping the timer, i use a freeze-frame effect to indicate when the run ends. i found that this actually allows me to time myself much more accurately.
actually, now that i think about it, i don't know if this method should be legal. i've always seen no issues with it, bc i can time myself accurately, but i suppose this could be used to start the timer a few milliseconds after the point where it should have, making a run seem faster than it was. If this method was allowed, moderation would become more difficult. if there are any better methods for timing runs on mac, please let me know.
Moderation is already difficult. Moderator gotta account for all tricks player can pull out in post-editing.
@Cirrus your timer process in unnecessarily convoluted. If you're re-encoding your footage anyway, put in a timer from your video editor. It'll be most accurate.
Is there a rule against moving the camera before the timer starts?
And it just would be nicer for a lot of speedruns like Arena fruit where you have to turn around to see the fruit
Ya that would be an advatage, just do what i do and keep reloading the page until u get the best spawn spot
