In game timer?

I've seen everyone having the ingame timer synced with their splits, but I can't get splits to work at all. Please help?

We don't use the ingame timer actually, we start, stop (and split) the timer manually for full game runs.

Even so, I still can't get splits to work at all. Also, the in game timer was synced, which would be helpful whether or not it's used.

In story mode the in game timer only keeps track of individual levels, so I'm not sure what you mean about it being synced. And if you can be more specific with the problem you have with splits I can try and help I guess but just your standard timer is all you really need so I can't really guess where you've gone wrong.

All I know is the splits won't work in the game, they won't show over the game, and the keys to control it don't work when in the game. I have global hotkeys on but they still don't work.

AFAIK it's not possible to show splits over a fullscreen game unless you have them on a second monitor, so you might have to switch to windowed. As far as global hotkeys not working, I have no idea because they work for me even fullscreen. If you aren't using LiveSplit you should try that.

I guess most of us are playing in windowed mode, so we can see the game and the splits (and stuff for streaming).

For livesplit, make sure that "enable global hotkeys" option is checked, i know it seems obvious, but i got trolled because of that since it's disabled when you launch it for the first time (and i'm retarded :^) ). If you realy can't fix it, maybe you can try one of those good old timers (like wsplit or llanfair).

Tried with livesplit and wsplit now, hotkeys don't work at all on either one.

run splits as administrator? No other ideas sorry, there are more general streaming/speedrunning forums on here that you might find your answer in.
