I was wondering if anyone knew about this run?

Its amazing tbh. It shows different animation skips and pixel perfect tricks. Idk, i felt like posting it here, just to be sure.

Yeah i have this run in the "level leaderboard" section, multi-segments. It was a run already here when i started to be moderator of this game, and i didn't delete it, cause it's nice to see it also.

Concerning the run, it's an amazing run yes, but a lot of the big skips (skip the fights with the shadows especially) seems to be completely random to do. It's not possible to do a run with some of these skips, it's like winning to the Loto ^^. It's frustrating, but with all the RNG of the game, we have to be safe for doing a good time.

Well i just finished teh autosplitter for this game (still a bug in the start function so ill fix that first). I love making these and i think its a nice thing to have for this game. But my point is that this game is so old it only has a few million adresses wich makes it easy to see changes in those values. I am currently digging into this game to see how to manipulate the RNG.

The run above is so interesting cuz it uses pixel perfect jump and some of the manipulation i am trying to figure out. I just wish we could get in contact with the person cuz he already did the stuff i am doing now.

My classes are over so i will have every day now to dig into this game (like i did with my other runs). So i will try my best to dig into the lower layers of this game and see what is possible ;p

While part of me does question the legitimacy of this run itself due to the cuts in the footage and my unfamiliarity with segmented runs, the pixel perfect evasion and exploitation of the scripted aspects of the game are 100% legit and I've been able to pull many of them off when practicing the game. Not very consistently though. In regards to how random some of these skips are, I think it may have a lot to do with which frames of animation allow Andy to be invulnerable and which frames of spectre animations allow them to register a hit. Right time and place based on how the spectres are moving, which frames of the animation they're in could possibly why sometimes it will succeed and sometimes it doesn't even when otherwise the set up is the same.

Thank you for looking into the data values of the game and making an autosplitter. There's really not the most interest for this game which is a shame.
