The Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2 (2018) games will be de-listed starting January 26, 2023.

If you had any interest whatsoever in trying out the 2016 and 2018 game engines, now's the time to buy those games.

Hitman 2016 is probably the most different, with sweeping changes to its rating system and unlocks etc. compared to Hitman 2 and 3.

Hitman 2 is mostly like Hitman 3 minus some minor changes such as electric phone being removed, and boosts potentially being removed from Hitman 3.

What does this mean for speedrun.com?

That remains to be seen. It's not very clear to me but hopefully IOI will not deactivate the game servers for Hitman 2016 / Hitman 2. If they do, I guess there is Peacock (https://thepeacockproject.org/wiki/intel/what-is-peacock/).

Either way, this is unfortunately going to mark the effective death of the Hitman 2016 and 2018 leaderboards, as this will probably prevent much newer players from joining up.
