The Run in Question

Also, I used "stats for nerds" on YouTube by R-clicking video to get the timings of everything. And if it ends with a 's' like 359.99s that's time. While 359.99 with no 's' would be something I got from the pan cam. .............................. 3:07 - [Human] Crow's Nest Easy by ByNailz (x-camera [pan cam]) 358.68 356.16 ||| -2.52 <--- Difference from previous angle 351.73 ||| -4.43 345.24 ||| -6.49 336.61 ||| -8.63 328.30 ||| -8.31 320.60 ||| -7.7 310.66 ||| -9.94 301.98 ||| -8.68 292.88 ||| -9.1 285.46 ||| -7.42 279.02 ||| -6.44 273.56 ||| -5.46 270.39 ||| -3.17

188.28s -187.20s = 1.08s (Nearly Identical Equipment Timing Compared to Silo Clip only a 0.01s Difference which might be only because of 60fps) 359.62 - 269.27 (270.39) = 90.35 (89.23) [Potential macro]

............................... 6:06 - [Blatant Macro] Crow's Nest Easy by ByNailz (x-camera [pan cam]) 70.25 (Starting angle) Difference from Start To Finish 70.25 - 65.84 = 4.41 (0.315avg) 69.93 ||| -0.32 69.62 ||| -0.31 69.30 ||| -0.32 <--- Difference from previous angle 68.99 ||| -0.31 68.67 ||| -0.32 68.36 ||| -0.31 68.04 ||| -0.32 67.73 ||| -0.31 67.41 ||| -0.32 67.10 ||| -0.31 66.78 ||| -0.32 66.47 ||| -0.31 66.15 ||| -0.32 65.84 ||| -0.31 65.73 ||| -0.09 (x-cam turn over the course of 15 frames with perfect consistency; exception of last frame)

362.79s - 361.72s = 1.07s [Potential macro]

Jump (Gain height) -> Deployable Cover Appearance Timings Equipment Timing [Human]

Legendary Crow's 426.80s - 425.61s = 1.19s

Easy Covenant 427.43s - 426.34s = 1.09s

Easy Full Game 696.45s - 697.59s = 1.14s

-Potential Macro's are in no way provable with built up muscle memory from doing the trick over and over again. But something I thought I'd look at after noticing what took place at 6:06 and with near identical timings on the same run, it only adds to the suspicion that this run used macros.

-What has my biggest concern is the movement of the camera at 6:06 Having the same start up speed as the average turning speed. Than immediately stopping after moving an additional 0.09 This Camera movement seems completely ridiculous, especially given that it is on a such a valuable trick. In addition to that, the 0.09 camera movement proves that looking down and turning their camera can do something other than 0.32 and 0.31 turns.

Any reason ByNailz would do this? They seem like a great runner with no need to cheat. But even If you dont believe they're cheating, I think you should keep a close eye on them. Especially for any major tricks that could be macroed just for that added bit of consistency. I know Deployable Cover Launching/Clipping isnt the most consistent at times and that the Clip in buggers room isn't nearly as difficult as Silo Clip. Plus Silo Clip is at the end of the IL. Which is why I think it'd be a perfect spot to use a macro and get away with it. You have two different results/ways DC Clip is being done. It'd be nearly impossible to identify on the spot unless they were done the same exact way. The only reason why I caught this is because I was studying Crow's Nest to learn its speedrun.

Also sorry I didn't know where else to post this... I couldnt find the Halo 3 page...
