Starting a Run via Continue vs Start

Hi! My account is too young to reply to messages but I figure this is a good forum question too since I wasn't sure what was proper.

My last submitted run was started via Continue then manually selecting the beginning rather than using 'Start' at the main menu.

As far as I know, both of these result in the same starting conditions? Selecting any point via Continue starts you with zero power-up.

I thought for some reason it was proper to show that I was starting on Loop 1, it didn't occur to me at the time that Start should just do that automatically. I also thought it'd be nice to chronicle that it would be my first time beating GG on medium difficulty.

Is starting via continue also acceptable? No worries if not, but I wouldn't mind an extra bullet added to the rules to clarify it.

I can confirm I've read this thread, I will look into the games continue system to verify myself whether it has any differentiating impact to a fresh file or not. As such: it will take some additional days before I get to verify your submission.

Thank you!

I did play around with it, there doesn't seem to be any altering variables that should have any effect for the run, keyword being SHOULD. Subject to change ofc IF it were to be discovered that it does have any impact whatsoever, in which case I will act accordingly thereafter. I would however be surprised if anything new were to be found regarding it. That being said, as of today: I do not find a reason to disallow it.
