I thought a guide on all the discovered skips & timesaves so far would be handy. Just to centralize the info around this game a little bit. Feel free to add or expand things as necessary.

#General techniques

• Fast movement tactic: If you can afford it in a speedrun, Agile Strike offers both a fast movement tactic as well as a good combat tactic (against certain foes).

Hunt with Atreus

Journey to the Mountain

• Fight skip: you can skip the single enemy that spawns before the Ruins section of the game with checkpoint abuse. It won't help on any%, but is probably worth it on higher difficulties.

Dock at the bridge

• Skip: you can skip meeting Brok for the 1st time and the three following fights using the Infinitely Thrown Axe exploit. Only works on unpatched. Timesave on any% negligible, but this might be worth it on higher modes.

• Fight skips: you can skip two of the three fights after meeting Bryk pretty easily. The last skip needs Rage. Even works on patched?

• Walking section time save: if you use Rage while backtracking down the Mountain with the Witch, you are able to outrun her. Two possible time saves exist, but they are mutually exclusive. Only works on unpatched. Requires Rage.

Travel to Alfheim

• Puzzle time save: some clever axe tactic allows a shortcut with the root puzzles at some point?

Investigate the Hive

• Checkpoint abuse: if you retry during the cutscene with Atreus while sailing back to Midgard, the cutscene is effectively skipped.

Return to the Mountain

Take Mimir's Head to the Witch
