I've compiled a bunch of useful information regarding mechanics, routes and individual tricks in a Google Doc for anyone interested in running the game. If you have any questions or need help with something, feel free to ask in our Discord server.

Keep in mind that everything is entirely based on the PS1 version, as I personally don't run (or recommend running) the N64 version. Many things in the document can be applied to the PC version, but not everything. See the version differences (N64/PC) for more details.

If you're planning to run on an emulator, I recommend Avouca's Mednafen Setup Guide. It was made for the 102 Dalmatians community, but can be followed the exact same way to get this game running via Mednafen.

Finally, here's some general tips I'd give to beginners:

  • Start with the warpless route. It's overall easier and saves you a bunch of unnecessary early game resets. Once you're more familiar with the game mechanics (e.g. slide TV cancelling), you can try out the intermediate route that only uses one wrong warp, or directly switch to the advanced route.

  • Focus on getting down the basic movement and camera controls while trying to avoid big mistakes (e.g. deaths). Tricks save seconds but good movement saves minutes, especially in a movement-heavy speedrun like this.

  • Start doing runs with strats you're comfortable with and update things along the way as your PB gets better. While it's perfectly fine to try out all the options when learning the run, going for every hard trick right away is usually a bad idea.

  • Practice outside of PB attempts, "study" other peoples' runs and don't be afraid to ask in the Discord if you need help. :)

From now on, timing ends when the cutscene of giant Rez getting hit plays for the third time.

Reason for the change is that Rez pressing the final button is not necessarily equivalent t
