Anyone down for co-op glitch hunting?

Like the title says. I'm curious to see if there are ways to exploit multiplayer latency like there were in Titan Quest.

Plus a co-op run would be cool anyway since AFAIK it's never been tried before.

Also here's a bonus co-op strat for Lucius that wouldn't even require a glitch.

Do the riftgate skip as normal, P1 puts down a riftgate by Creed as normal. Go to the end of the armory, P1 goes inside the boss room, P2 stays outside and puts his riftgate down just outside the boss room. P1 pulls Lucius to the door and then suicides, and then on revive goes through P2's riftgate and both players wail away on Lucius from outside the boss room.

Should speed that fight up considerably vs solo since Lucius can't do much to players outside the room.

You'd also split up in the Blood Grove as well most likely, where one player searches for the prisoners while the other player just makes a beeline for the exit.

The fact that we are on the opposite sides of the world makes me a bit sceptical about the possibility of playing together with any semblance of comfort, but I'm up for at least trying this out.

Feel free to hit me up on Discord.

Sounds cool. If anything comes of it I could create a category under Level Leaderboard for it.

So for the Multiplayer Latency Glitch in Titan Quest... I did some testing some weeks ago. for a tl:dr if it works in Grim Dawn it only would work with attribute points, NOT with skillpoints. I didn't adress this yet because a) I don't have a setup to do it in a speedrun-scenario, b) I didnt consider attribute points only to be worth searching for it.

But here's the reasoning why i can say that skillpoints won't work:

First of all, how the glitch in Titan Quest works. The point duplication works because if a skill/Attributepoint is spent, the calculation for it will be on the next frame of the game. So spending e.g. 10 points in one frame causes the game in the next frame to calculate 10 times the skillpoints as follows:

Does the player have at least one skillpoint remaining? -> Yes he has, so decrease remaining points by 1 and increase the skill by 1.

This happens 10times in exactly the same frame, so even if the player has only 1 skillpoint remaining, he gets the confirmation that the skillpoint can be spent 10 times. Since the remaining points cannot be negative, you don't land on 0 remaining points instead of -9, which is the actual reason for the duplication.

So technically the glitch is caused by spending multiple skillpoints in one frame of the game. That can be done by either freezing the game or, if you go by a method which is not valid for speedrunning, using a macro keyboard to perform multiple clicks in one frame.

I didn't find a spot in Grim Dawn where i can get the game to completely freeze, but the macro-keyboard-method is still valid.

Long story short, it turns out that the skillpoint duplication is somehow fixed in Grim Dawn. The glitch actually only works with attribute points. Thinking about it, i haven't checked the devotion points yet, i'll check it soon.

So the skillpoint method most likely won't work, but maybe we can come up with different strats... would be interesting to find some coop-strats ;)
