It's possible to use Street or Race class cars in the Derby Finals, and vice versa. The first race needs to be completed with the car of the respective class, such as Derby in Derby Finals. After the first race, go to your garage and select any car you like, including cars from other classes.

In speedruns, this allows you to use the Road King in the Derby and Race Finals and save a couple of minutes.
